@The golden ages of MTV From 1981 to 1995 - NO *REALLY* , he DID gain *AT LEAST* 15HP. What, you didn’t know that?? The wrap activates the PCM to increase air/fuel ratio and open the exhaust more while bypassing the CATs. DUH!! Everyone knows that.
why would you manual this car? the automatic gearbox is a good one and there is no need to do that. If you need a manual, you buy one from the beginning
Looking good man, nevermind about the not so perfect areas, you can always redo them. The way I see it, the fact you did it yourself theres more pride in your ride!
When you do the vent holes, you move the excess from the outside corners into the center of the vent hole. Then you cut the excess away and because there is more material in the vent hole, you now have enough to wrap around the corners of the interior curves...
I just bought some of this wrap. I was skeptical about myself wrapping it since I have never wrapped anything before. Watching this made me want to try it so thanks. Nice job by the way!
real carbon fiber interior pieces aren't even functional, my f82 m4s carbon pieces weigh as much as regular trim pieces of my old 335i. Its just for looks. but bro you did a really good job!
These are the best car mods some time is about how your car makes you feel and mods like this displays your own taste so who cares if it’s real fiber or not it’s your car and your wallet
Good job, i did my 2004 E60 about 8 years ago and let me tell you the interior wrap last. I will need to redo a few this winter because i am a perfectionist but i wish i was a young DIYer and had time to make videos. Keep the videos going...
Very important as I just did mine in matte blue: when removing the main dashboard trim the passenger side (the edge of the trim where the vent is) is “hooked” onto the support which looks like a nail. Safest way to remove the trim is loosen up everything and then slide the trim to the right so you free it from the peg behind it.
Your biggest mistake I saw was the ashtray wrap not angled the same direction. Otherwise I see you did a wonderful job Christian! Thanks for sharing that experience with us! Best wishes and Peace out my friend!
I think once I figure out what video editor to use I will start documenting some of my "adventures" in automotive and so on. Also a belated Happy Father's Day Christian!
Best tip would be to make sure one knows the material one will be applying . There are many different sorts of vinyl and some require a lot of heat for flexing , while other may not need heat at all .
I used 5D carbon fiber vinyl from ebay a couple months back in my 350z and it turned out amazing. Literally cant tell the difference between real carbon fiber and wrap. There's a video on youtube that demonstrates how similar the two look.
Hombre Eres Una bestia!! As we say back home, that's what you call stretching a buck, good job. I enjoy your vids very much. PS, I've found that, pine tree air freshener you get for your car you can give you 5 extra horses per air freshener.🤥
You do the corners first. Then the extra material in on the long sides. Then you diagonally pull on the long sides as you work from one end to the other to slowly use up the excess..
Carbon wrapped the centre console, stereo due to worn rubberized paint & rear panels either side of rear screen had faded on my SLK. Looks great now, worth doing & only cost £12 for vinyl wrap off Ebay
I’ve got an ‘07 525xi. Definitely not the fastest nor nicest. But I have been looking at doing something like this. I’m tired of the wood, it just makes the car look as old as it is. I love the style of this carbon fiber so I’m definitely gonna knock this out in the summer
Wow that looks great! The wood grain to me looks very old and outdated on these cars. My friend has a Mercedes with the same fake wood grain and it looks tacky in my opinion. The CF really brought the sports car modern theme that it lacked on the interior. Good job I know this must have took hours!
Nice job men.. but you say in the beginning the direction from the wrap should be the same.. but by the ashtrey you don‘t do it 🤭 i hope you will do it by the ashtrey again.. then it will be perfect!
honestly for what it is its really good looking definitely gonna do this on mine but bro dont beat yourself up about the corners its good bro plus u can just always remove it
Hey buddy, i have the same wodden interrieur and you motivated me to but all that stuff and do that myself. i were way to lazy to do that but i love my car and it looks way better
Brother I’ve been a fan of the videos for a while. You started with all the right stuff but now it seems you’re going the cheap route. Not trying to hate but why cover real bmw wood grain interior trim with cheap amazon? Do a muffler delete and you’ll love it. I got an older F10 535 and trust me the cheap stuff will end up costing you more in the long run.
Buen vídeo! Quería que me des tu opinión, estoy entre comprarme un bmw 320d 2011 o un Audi a4 2.0 tdi 2012, cual crees que es mejor ambos con transmisiónes automáticas
