I pay $1500 USD a month to rent a very small 1 bedroom apartment in Phoenix, Arizona.. USA.. So many people are going homeless yet they are educated and work very hard every day. 😢
As foreigner who had lived in Kenya for 3 years .. her video helped me to make a good choice about my future plan to buy a house in kilimani region, i can say : the race or nationality of the owner has an impact in the house design and size ( Muslim owners usually came from a big families that why they prefer big houses , despite Chinese or indians ) , the same way I noticed when I was in Kiambu that Kikuyus landlords build big apartments with small pieces to make more benefits.. so instead of taking her video to make noise about your tribe ego .. try to understand those difference for someone who want to settle down in Kenya , ie from a foreigner perspective.. Kenya is beautiful by its diversity ( I loved bcz of all herpeople) , It s good video hope you next cover other area than kilimani.
@@Geenyada You are a Tribalist who has supposedly lived abroad but the village in you still shows with your language and even dress code.Grow up.Kenya is not made of tribes day and night-we are united. If you come here with that attitude-you will be checked and put in your proper place because Kenyans view themselves as one.Get an education before you embarass yourself with that tribalist mindset in all of your videos
I didn't think id like the Chinese apartment, but I like them the best . The Chinese apartments are more cozy . And that was a nice ass studio apartment.
Hi! Greetings from Boston. It was raining this morning but now it has stopped. However, it's quite windy. We'll see how Lee will impact us. It has been downgraded from a hurricane to a cyclone, whatever that means. I'm new to your channel. Like you, I grew up in America (came here when I was in high school). I love listening to your voice. And it was really intriguing to see those apartments, especially the Chinese ones since they're quite cheap. Did I hear you correctly when you stated that the Chinese studio is being sold for $30,000? I shared one of your videos with a Somali friend here in Boston. Thanks for sharing.
It should be noted native kenyans don't like living in apartments they would rather buy a 50by100ft (0.7...hectares)land and build a bungalow or something such housing arrangements are cheap to maintain and are doable in kenya
Please keep making more videos like this. Just please mention the place or area. I was in Nairobi for three weeks. It was my First time in Kenya and my second time in Africa. Looking to relocate to Nairobi and would appreciate more videos like this. Hoping to retire in a few yrs, and buy a condominium in a yr or two. 👍👍👍👍
Walalo go to barre homes, minara homes, southern sahil. These are few of the Somali real estate companies, and they build nice brand new luxury apartments.
3 bedroom 170,000 USD very expensive. Buy a flat house in south c or south B. You can also buy a plot in embakasi, tashia or Donhom. It wil only cost you 80,0000 USD [11,500,000]to build it
Are the rental and mortgage payments you said in Kenya shillings? Do you still have to pay electricity, Internet, Food, Sewer, Water, Etc..? I’m trying to understand the difference between cost of living in US and Africa..
Basically, it's standard procedure to pay for the utilities separare from the rent, however there are exceptions btw, and it's not uncommon to find an all inclusive package, all in all it depends. You can pay in USD or Kenyan shillings, but when purchasing a house here as a foreigner i'd advice you buy using dollars as you'd have more purchasing power
Most Definitely. You Have To Pay For Those That You Listed. Same All Over The World 🌎 My 3 Bedrooms 2.5 Bathrooms Condo In USA 🇺🇸 I Pay $300 Monthly For HOA And Also Pay For My Electric, Gas And Property Tax And So On Even If Your House Is Paid Off. Even If You Are Renting, You Still Have To Pay For Your Own Gas, Electric, Foods And So On.
Hey sis. Maybe you know this or not but please be careful walking around the streets with your phone and camera out. Especially keep an eye out on the boda boda guys. That phone or camera will fly out your hand in no time. 😰😂
Yes agree with you it happened my brother in-law they took his mobile and got a big injury to his hand since that when I go holiday to Kenya I’m more conscientious than before.
I heard her say only Indians, Arabs and Somalis build big houses in Kenya. Has she been to Runda, Karen, Kitsuru etc to see how Kenyans with money build?
i wondered the same, monied locals here have built stunning homes that have huge compound unlike those apartments stacked all together in one place. Anyways great content and 'karibu kenya'
This one has very racist views and perceptions of African black Kenyans as not amounting to much! She needs to reel that racism and tribalism rhetoric a notch down if she is to survive in Kenya!
@@user-tk6lc8zv9cSo you mean she us refugees? Remember somalis are not refugees in NFD that is where they belong useless jealous kikuyo or luo dude get out of her channel and cry over where ever you want
About 20 million shillings for a 3 bedroom apartment. It’s definitely insane and too expensive. I agree with some locations but this seems to be a regular place. I just built an 11 bedroom 3 floors house of 107 by 70 meters with a 15 car parking and a supermarket in front . I bought the land first and started building. It’s not worth buying an apartment in a building that you don’t own unless you want to just rent it straight. In total plus the land it costed me around 210.000 dollars
dont be stupid-people all over the world buy apartments in buildings they dont own-infact-the majority of the world population live in cities in apartments.your brain is making me sick with statements like that.Apartments means your place in a common building not owned by YOU.Are you like 6 years old?
The Chinese design is more modern it is close to here in US, I don't like the somali design especially the kitchen, their kitchen is big but the design doesn't look good. Abaayo can u mention the location of each house and show us the area of each house a little bit Thanks for this info 👍🏾
For reall if you gonna stay here in Kenya then I would wish to meet you some day and show you around my hood here in Nairobi...your biggest fun since I am marwa introduced you to us in india
ASSALAMALAIKUM EMPRESS MIRIAM MASHAALLAH ALHAMDULIALLA KEEP ON KEEPING IT REAL TALK 1OO AND SOME MORE NUFF RESPECT BIG UP BERMUDA ♥️ 🇧🇲 LUVIN UR BEAUTIFUL JOURNEY AND ENERGY AND INFORMATIVE CONTENTS SHAQUAN FAMILY 😅😮😢🎉😂❤
My family is building apartments in easleigh and westland for sale and am here saying is better to buy land in juja and build a house where she can have a private garden and pool area is not personal
Who owns the real estate company. Those are the groups who build the most properties in Nairobi. Somalis tend to build bigger family friendly apartments that are 4,5, 6 bedrooms.
these apartments that are currently fancy yet so many and close to each other, no matter the modern interior have the potential to become poorly managed in years to come and will definitely lose their charm. Think ahead and invest in stand-alone modern houses
You should go explore where richest Kenyan jeerer are you will be actually shocked, somalis have only Easleigh and south c Which they keep on shouting they are rich 😂😂But real Kenyans are rich and SILENT
Kenyans however rich they are don't trumpet and brag about their riches. The lady concentrated on Somali, Arabs, Indians and Chinese because Somalians put themselves in a class outside their fellow black people. You are telling a false narrative about Nairobi real Estate ownership. You should have shown house in Karen, Runda, Kitsuru, loresho etc, showing us the sizes and the ownership. You are portraying as if Kenya built and owned by foreigners which is a big lie .
You come across as being a little paranoid. I don’t think she means that indigenous African Kenyans are not wealthy. She is show casing and comparing the different types of apartments which are being built by different foreigners in Kenya. I personally find this approach of showcasing and information quite helpful for an investor. Be patient with her, once she settles down, she will get to know more about the Kenyan real estate, the Real owners of the land etc.
As a Kenyan living in the UK, I find your vlogs very informative on real estate. Real estate in Kenya is booming. Affordable housing project is big issue right now and it’s an area you will need to show case within and Nairobi suburbs like Ruaka, Syokimau, Thindigua, Kikuyu, Thika etc.
@@user-tk6lc8zv9cJust for argument sake, put yourself in her shoes and assume you are a vlogger show casing apartments in Mogadishu which are built by Arabs, Chinese and Indians. Would it be wrong if you mentioned the difference between the architecture from the point of who built them? You are being shallow my friend. Give her time, this is not her last vlog on properties in Kenya. She will get to those that have been built by the indigenous African Kenyans and even the affordable houses which are being built by young Kenyan estate developers etc.
