I see many people moving to Thailand, what is gonna happen when people in Thailand get tired and decide to kick you'll out of the country. Because there seem to be many people who are moving to cheaper places, but problem is they mess up cost of living in cheaper countries and ultimately frustrates locals.

Sorry for your loss man. Can't imagine the pain and suffering this has brought to so many israelis. I'm myself planning my first visit to Thailand in the autumn and see how it feels for a month or so. Getting the visa seems a great opportunity. I can also work from anywhere so getting away in the worst part of the year weather wise here in Estonia would be nice. Also the geopolitical situation with russia is something that makes me want to seek out a potential safe haven and so far seeing experiences from friends Thailand seems to be the no 1 place to go in case things turn even worse.

Once again sorry for your loss but congrats on the move! I can see how this could be scary and overwhelming, but just remember you've got the most important thing with you. Your family. If you enjoy it there, this could open up to a lot of new opportunities. There's also a lot of expats and nomads working around Thailand. I was there earlier this year. Ultimately, in the end you can always move back to Israel if/when things normalise later on. All the best! We need to T-up a Muay Thai class together when I return :)

Why should you want to build a house in a country where you can't own the land as a foreigner? I lived a year in Thailand to "study Thai": To be honest: Good to be there for a few weeks / for holiday. But nothing to live long-term for me with the family. You will always be the "white rich farang", never really feel home, you always have Visa crap etc. Even now with the nomad visa which is kinda like the cheap version of the Thai Elite Visa which increased by 50 to 150% for the pricing depending on the length of the visa: After 5 years you can leave with the nomad visa: No problem if you're single - But with kids, a bit difficult. They made friends, they got a new life etc - And then they have to leave again. What are your thought on that?
