Dude, the Spunk Shad on the back of a Mini Max is fire! I rigged it last week an caught a bundle. Let it sink, slow roll it, twitch, change speeds, let it fall, let it make contact and hold on! I use the Goby Spunk Shad on the back of the Bluegill Mini Max 3/8 ounce Chatterbait.

I fish Guntersville as well... It's such a humbling lake. One minute you're catching, the next you're scratching your head wondering what the hell happened.
@@mikeybalzz it really is and the vibration is so tight that it just gets bites that other bladed jigs don't get.. It has become my number one bladed jig and one of my number one presentations overall. Its basically the flatside of bladed jigs. I buy them 5 or 6 at a time.
I think that's the real key back in the day when I fish them I was so worried about having enough money for gas and all that things are a little more comfortable now and it's a lot easier to focus

It sounds like you did really well. 4th place in any tournament is a great outcome! Some guys fish tourneys their entire lives and never even crack the top 10!

We kayak the Tallapoosa river from horseshoe bend to the Jaybird creek boat landing. I wear them out on that mini max. I’ve used the micro and mini chatterbait. They’re good, just not nearly as durable as the mini max. Those spots and Tallapoosa bass love em
Great report for your post tournament result. You should enjoy your time, and I think operating cameras would be too much of a distraction during a tournament especially when your focus should be on the fish. It sure would be for me!😂
One of these days though I'd like to fish a little something and get it on video it's so hard to explain that process and everybody does it different so I think capturing it and putting a little narration along with it would be pretty damn cool

No don’t spill the juice! Those things have caught me so many tanks. I also got 4th place outta 300 in a high school tournament with those on West Point in GA. Got a 6lber on it in the tournament

You didn't get enough information from your friends, download waypoints, talk to local guides,put fish in a basket or shove weights down their throats. That's how you win tournaments. # hate bass tournaments
