"Stanley walked up to the table, holding a pre-release GPU with an estimated value of over six thousand dollars. To the suprise of no one but Stanley himself, he drops it onto the floor. Effortlessly, it smashes into a thousand pieces. Which coincidently, is only twelve shy of the number of times this has happened before."
@@deelirious I’m pretty sure he’s said some of their names before Edit: actually nvm i looked it up and you’re right Yeah keeping it private is ofc a good thing
@@Chris-hw4mq DId you know that linus actually makes a fund with percentages of earnings for every video his children shows up in. Apparently that fund will go to them when they come of age
In my experience whn my boss does something like this, he said he'd rather give the money to his employees instead. So he splitted the cost that he would've to pay to the mover to us evenly instead. Maybe Linus did the same thing? I dont know if he did, but im sure the employees get something by helping.
@@mirrorline1 From what I can gather from the WAN show, this is exactly what Linus did. In every WAN show, Linus says how he cares about his employees and how much he wants to do right by them. I REALLY doubt he went: alright boys and girls, help me move for free :D
@@davenz000 it also have its own thermals and night vision periscope along with 2 remote controlled M2 Browning .50 cal with 500 round belt in each gun. It's also able to control the house main gun by pressing a button on the right side of the bed. Obviously it has an escape hatch for himself.
@@davenz000 Jake's more of a slide kind of guy. It's a slide that terminates at the head of Linus's bed. So when he comes barreling down the slide, he slips right in-between the sheets, right on the inboard side of Linus; between Linus and Yvonne.
It's how I feel near my father, knowing how much he's cut himself by accident doing something silly when he could be using safer tools to do that job....
@@Chris-hw4mq Yes, but there is a notice period between an employee announcing his leave and the actual last day of work. I don't know the specific laws in Canada, but here in Germany that period is at least three months. So they probably knew he would leave and let him jump the queue.
@@Chris-hw4mq Failing to see how that has anything to do with what I said. Taran announced last week that he'd left LMG. The tech upgrade video was released three weeks ago. That means, as I said - he got his pile of free shit on Intel's dime, THEN quit.
20:45 The plumbers were definitely right, that board looks like an hazard waiting to happen. You can definitely rig a quick box with the right holes and 3d print it so that things aren't so exposed.
I love Yvonne. Shes so wonderfully patient and loving towards Linus' shenanigans. And shes feeling more and more comfortable on camera. WE LOVE YOU YVONNE!!!!!!
Sometimes I can’t tell if Linus pays his employees really well or if they really like him and his family on a personal level. I can’t imagine helping my boss move AND install their stuff.
The Boss/employee dynamic in LMG is definitely not like in most other companies. I'm sure they do draw some boundaries, but they talk and banter with each other like they're friends or siblings. Like, where else can you roast your boss about his habits (like Linus almost constantly dropping stuff) as a joke and not get fired for it. Sounds like a decent place to work in tbh, even if we have to help him move house for a video.
They call this in Scotland "Flitting Hoose". (Moving House). The first essentials being 1. Electric Kettle 2. Big Mugs for your tea or coffee. 3. Teabags or Coffee 4.Digestive Biscuits for dunking in your tea or coffee. 5. Toilet Rolls. I see that the most important job was done first Cinema Chairs. 👍🎦. I am impressed. 😊
Absolutely The last box you pack into the car or van is the one with the kettle, drinks, mugs, biccies and essential cleaning stuff. That way it's the first one out of the car/van. 👍
Scottish aye voters (usually from Glasgow) also pack heroin, Irn Bru, and various weapons in the same box. They also need two trucks, one for their stuff, another for the collection of chips that they keep on their shoulder. Sophisticated Scots (not aye voters), pack tea, biscuits, laptop (not stolen), and clothes for work.
The tablet holder in the theater room is pretty useful, especially with LInus' goals for automating the whole place. You can set up a Home Assistant dashboard for the tablet that has theater room device controls, scene triggers, etc.
I continue to love the saga of Linus and his new house. Also " I was quoted by the moving company 11 grand, instead I just brought over my logistics people" is the most Linus thing ever.
@@jemiebridges3197 yeah it's ridiculous the way people take advantage any chance they get. They screwed themselves in the long run and missed out on a job though which is nice.
Linus: It's hard to scribble through videos to find the good stuff His kid: You make videos Linus (apparently turning into Kratos): I know I make videos, boy.
The best part of this is linus spending most of the video in the theatre room goofing around with the seats while Yvonne has to go around the house with logistics
Yeah if you work moving furniture for a living, its very real. If you lift all the weight of say, a table, all yourself; you're just making it hard. Make gravity do the work for you. Something that's awkward is something which you cannot move with the assistance of gravity. CRTs are heavy, but not awkward. Desks are often pretty lightweight, but rather awkward.
Two full home therator love couches, Several thousand dollars. The look on linus' face when Jamie plugged LTT Store after Yvonne looked at his butt, Priceless.
I haven’t been able to actually sit down and watch the video yet, but oh how far we’ve come. I remember being excited to see the next moving vlog when you guys moved into the warehouse from the Langley house. Feeling a little bit nostalgic is all
"Why do i need a tablet, and why do i need it held here??" Because usually people who get expensive fancy seating like that have tablets for the entertainment system controls. I wonder if he could set up a HomeAssistant thing to do that...
High end home theaters usually have their own seperate closet for the electronics - Sony's Jukebox CD/DVD/Blu-ray players with their monsterous capacity, were extremely popular for this kind of application 15+ years ago.
The tablet holder might be for casting, so you can bring up netflix on your phone and cast it to the screen and have a little control panel next to you.
It's for any reason you'd want a tablet or phone next to you on the couch. Home automation tablet, like a Crestron tablet, or a regular android or Apple tablet.
Im just gonna put this one out: Linus is so excited for his/their new house and Im really happy to see him like that. All the best Linus and Family! :)
15:35 phasing occurs with correlated sounds (the more of the same sound, the more phasy it can get), so basically running in stereo does not increase, but may decrease phasing a bit. Also, having stereo summed acoustically in a room might sound better than having it summed electronically (you can get at least some stereo separation in the space versus not having it at all)
11:39 okay, moving that box genuinely made me smile. It is the classic case of parents buying expensive toys for their kids and they end up playing with the box the toy came in.
21:27 Two identical relay boards means if you have a spare, you have a spare, and if you don't have a spare, you could break the other two zones and get a spare. Looks good to me. Hopefully you have a spare
$11k for a move of that size actually sounds about normal. My wife and I moved a 1700sqft house and it cost almost $3k using the discount people with a truck we rented.
Lol at 14:00 it was hilarious, his eyes follow that knife until he closes it. Question, do clips like that increase your company insurance premiums lolololol
21:10 Bare PCB's right under water lines, may want to consider adding a little splash shield above them at least just in case. Also those lines never have chilled water in them do they? If so condensation drips would also be a concern from the cold lines onto the electronics.
23:15 - Bunk beds. I assembly these kinds of things on the regular and that's how it's done, and how it's been done since at least the 70's. Once you get the slats and mattress on the upper bunk, it's not coming off, not with those pins.
Yvonne talking about the bunk beds and how they "just rest on here" and "aren't that secure" - - - Sigh.. yes, I'm pretty sure that was my exact thought process every single time I've dealt with kids' bunk beds.
I have been on the contractor side of them trying to move in while you are trying to finish it up. Usually the delays where home owner or special order delays caused and they still are trying to move in. While I understand both sides, it can be frustrating and will also cause more delays.
He actually addressed this in the WAN show, the general viewers got feed up, so they are not looking to be making a comeback unless some really creative idea comes around.
