This game only portrays a fraction of the rich Chinese mythology. Its success would unveil the extensive and fundamental aspects of Chinese mythology that have been overlooked. It would reveal that much of Korean and Japanese culture is derived from Chinese tradition. Despite Japanese and South Korean efforts to promote their cultural distinctions since WW2, in the eyes of the Chinese, these remain superficial. Now, with China's development, it is time to showcase its treasures to the world.

I remember when the first trailer came out in 2020, at a time when nobody in China wanted to develop AAA single player games, as a somewhat desperate attempt for the studio to hire more dev talent, and it blew everyone's mind. It also blew up the stagnant Chinese single player games industry. Now we're about to be able to play it, and many other dev teams in China are looking at how Wukong will perform. This game is literally making history. Can't wait to play it! Just 11 years, no, days away!

I believe, and it's been a long time since I've read the Journey to the West novel, but I think they're called the 4 Divine Kings, or Great Kings, something along those lines. It's a big spectacle fight in the novel and I can't wait to see how they translate it in-game!
