Leroy, Ruby and the Dale Truck are the holy trinity of the fleet, as long as you don't get rid of any of those I don't think anyone should be too mad. You can't just keep expanding the fleet forever, some come some go and it's all good to re-home the Galaxie!
You’re forgetting one of the most important builds on the channel! Neighbor! That car created so much content..plus it was one of the first builds on the channel. IMO Neighbor has to be in the conversation when we talk about the fleet cars that shouldn’t be gotten rid of.
I left a few comments saying I have a 2300 pound AWD car that's built and makes 600hp turned up. About 480hp on low boost. Comes with tons of extra drive train parts and spare blocks and heads. It's a 91 talon and it's in great shape. Has a 6266 precision. Has the famous 4g63t. I want 10k
It doesn’t matter the layover, or cancellations. You had the most epic weekend EVER with the SXSBlog boys. You guys all belong together. No better content than that.
@@ChrisG1392 Holley doesn't like loud noises or riding in fast cars I don't think. Definitely on ride alongs not sure about noise. So we don't see her much at the FF.
She can’t unfortunately I heard she was disqualified all the other drivers cried too much after getting their windows blown out because she has so much freedom running through her.
I just remembered that Deboss Garage has an AWD quattro with a built twin turbo LS setup. They may actually have an interest in the Galaxy because they are mainly a diesel channel.
@@frostedjedi True, but seeing his channel only has 600k subs he could possibly do it to gain exposure for his channel. And I'm not saying 600k is small, but there's a chance it could blow his channel up over 1mil in a few days or might not even effect it much. Just speculation on my end.
@@dylanzrim3635 Kevin also replaced the wheel bearing and brake pads etc and did other work on it when he got back. Also if he had of *really* crashed it he would have repaired it, it just the kind of guy he is.
Whatever you get is probably going to need serious work to get it ready/reliable for the drags. Could see some good videos this week if all goes well 😁
Just start a pass the belt/trophy rule, winners of it sit out the next event and pass it to the new winner. ( can be 1st, 2nd 3rd trophies) Also fair for your self if you become dominant
You are probably going to have to either ban the race cars or have different classes. Those cars honestly take the fun out and will eventually deter people from entering. Most spectator drags are old buckets. Douchey for a guy to bring a 100k race car to a rust bucket race. They are for regular folks who can't afford to race. Not guys with big wallets.
This dude doesn’t have a big wallet! He’s been building the car since he was 16 . It’s taken many years to be where it’s at! And btw it is a rust bucket haha
You know someone has a Syclone or a Typhoon in their garage with more than enough juice to ruin the Diamond Star guy's day. My vote is for the Syclone. If that's you give your boy a holler.
I love what you are doing with the FF. All the “out of box” stuff is just awesome. How cool is it to own your own track and just make up cool events like the dirty 30..! Keep up the good work and fun stuff!
@@Red_White_andFU name anything you have ever done that someone else has not done already..? Including being a hater from your moms basement, yup someone has done that already too! 😂
Yep. It would be cool to see some Arca or late model racing there just to generate money for the track and to provide a place for different types of racing. Wouldn't it be cool to have an SRX race there.?! A Tony Stewart SRX race at the FF would be awesome. Just my thoughts.
@@Dukes3677 great you have a great launch. Then you hit the turn and have to slow way down. Audis are aweful at autox. Than even with all the hp the weight won't be fast on the back stretch.
If you don’t get a car by then, you guys should build a Eagle Talon TSi AWD for spectator drags since it’s technically an “American” car, (basically a Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX) also it’s got the 4g63, and lighter compared to an Evo.
Yeah i wish i was living in a america and i got car to swap it i would drive ut every da,but wou a scammer posted to your comment Dam i Hate Those Peoples/Bots so im gonna repot that.
Cleeter too competitive, has to literally buy himself the win. Wouldnt want to build a Subi or anything like that, really lost his roots considering back in the day he loved his Subaru and thought it was fast running 16s
@@mathewskaggs3955 There are daily driver rules. Cars have to be registered and insured street legal cars with DOT tires. Could I enter both classes with my daily driver?
@@SomethingFunny454 dude in the comments offered a 6266 Eagle Talon in the comments here, I hope cleet takes him up or at least has him out for testing lol
Have a Subaru that I've had for a long time. Over 70k into it, made just shy of 1,000whp with a full turboback exhaust on the car. Hood or fender exit, the car is easily capable of a good bit more. Currently sitting on lower boost in the upper 30's making around 750.
You have the dale truck that is built specifically to go around a track like what you have....take a day or 2 to get it dialed in. You wont get off the line quicker but you can easily drive around him in 2 laps.
Hear me out... It's not AWD and doesn't have 700hp, but... Ariel Atom. The power to weight is amazing. Sub 3 second 0-60 and excellent handling in capable hands. Basically a shifter kart on steroids.
@@datutturugang666 I searched before I commented. It took about 30 seconds to find at least 1 low mile Atom for sale, although it was in Oregon. Even from there it could be in Florida in less than a week with Cleet's connections.
@@JLewis1979 I was looking for one as well, and all the Atom 4s are crap or easily 100k. Doubt he'll get one used. or one at all as there are better options.
Ive been watching spectator drags on youtube as a little fun to watch thing for the past 6 years now from multiple tracks and if they show up your g bodies, 2nd gen camaros,3000gt, talons, are usually where its at
Find a nice awd civic. You have Kyle and Brent as good friends to help with anything you need. On top of that they're also reliable and a dime a dozen if you pop a engine etc.
@@trashin4k the creative freedom is an excellent point. I don't think this channel will ever be without an Ls platform. I just think an awd Ford would be rather American! Like an awd crown vic would be pretty cool 😎
While I'll be sad to see the Galaxie go, It doesn't get the attention it deserves, someone else can love it, and *hopefully* make some content for us to enjoy about the ol gal!
👀 600-700hp is a good start, but hp or AWD is not always the answer. Wait until everyone sees the 2WD Chevy Blazer handing out gaps to all the modern sports cars on Saturday! Stay tuned!🏁
Just ask Kevin to retune the dale Truck for circle work again. The tyres on that thing looked like Nascar tyres, Surely if you put tyre warmers on it to keep em hot pre race you'd have no trouble.
Cleetus! I know its probably too short in time to build it but.... Dodge Magnum AWD with a 6.7 Cummins swap with twins, tripples, or supercharged AND single or twins on top of the supercharger. OR, Maybe Chet would let you burrow the S Plaid if he can put his name on the FF bar ;)
@@DETisHockeytown i said those 2 are the easiest to get a hold of. Not saying it’s the best pick. But he doesn’t have enough time. So it’s a last resort
im with J C if you try win everything at your event it will come down to no one will want to show up. so maybe make something up where spectators have there event and something like grudge match with cleetus and maybe have the winner go head to head with you for a bonus prize if they win
If he was throwing all him money at it, maybe it would drive people away, but he wants to keep it competitive. Guys he wants to beat are showing up on $50k+ cars anyway. Now if Cleetus showed up in a quarter million dollar time attack car, it might be bad news lol.
@@ionstorm66 you’re on to something there! Instead of getting a built awd car, cleet should put aero on an existing car and modify the suspension for round track use.
After all said and done, light weight, and reasonable/ drivable power level, honestly a mini cooper s, theres two good ones, the supercharged version, or the later model turbo version. With a shot of nos for the straight away, the car will do the test around the corners.
The way I see it, if you go awd to beat awd, then every other 2wd will be unable to win. Wouldn't you be better off to have a different class for each drive type?
Understeer and a great potential to roll aren't exactly great attributes to have. I doubt it's beating any 700HP cars in a straight line either. Would still be fun to see what it would do though.
Dam, Detroit airport you were very close to where I'm at, at one point. live about 30-45 minutes north of the airport, traffic dependent of course. Also 5 hour drive you must have been up near Traverse city, little north of it. Amazing place both in summer or winter, depending if you like cherries and beach and lake life or snowmobile, skiing and snowboarding life. Cant wait for the vid on that
