I’m glad that the transformations are included in one character slot rather than each transformation taking up a space. I’m sure we’ll see other iterations of Goku like base Goku prior to Namek but I’m glad that one character won’t be taking up so many spots
5:04 The versions of them fighting right here are Goku (Super) and Vegeta (Super). They both are confirmed to have Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan God, and Super Saiyan Blue as transformations. Each form has a different set of skills. The other versions have different transformations. Vegeta (Scouter) - Great Ape Goku (Mid) - Super Saiyan Goku (Late) - Super Saiyan, 2, and 3 Vegeta (Late) - Super Saiyan & Super Saiyan 2 12:12 Characters can have techniques (usually their ultimates) that include other characters within them. 17's ultimate in BT3 was the move they used on Gohan. Adolescent SSJ Gohan's and SSJ Goten's ultimate was the Bros. Kamehameha they did against Broly.

No man. Xenoverse is a completely different than this. If you wanna get ready for this game, you need to go back and play Budokai Tenkaichi 3. The moves are way more technical than the Xenoverse series.
since the ps3 era i was waiting for a good dragon ball game the've all been mediocre and bad since then exept fighterz but even that i coudn't do what i wanted like transform or have the freedom of a 3d enviroment while fighting i know it's 2d duh but still finally the dream comes true the long awaited fighting arena dragon ball game comes back with inproved fighting and todays technology a dream man!

They do multiple versions of characters like goku depending on the time frame of that character. A good example being theyll have a super version of goku that can go ssg, ssb, and maybe UI? But then theyll have a Z version that focuses more on the actual ssj transformations

One of the big reasons for having characters in multiple forms on the select screen while still being able to transform mid battle is to let you start a battle in whatever form you want (Whereas normally, you can't transform until your blast gauge has a point)
Xeno verse is 100% different than do not play xeno prepare for sparkingzero because those are two different things. I suggest if you can go find you a Tenkaichi three. And play that that’s the best way you could prepare.
Jeice and Burter have team attacks with each other. Purple Comet was an ultimate they could do if on the same team. There is no 2v2 mode like Xenoverse.
BT3 just had them show up for each other's ult. RB2 is when they changed it up and included legit team ults for Team Battle. They'll probably do it the way BT3 did... which I hated. Tenkaichi Tag Team exists, but they probably won't incorporate it. I hope they do if they do a BT5.
I dare say that some of 3's boss fights were better than the source material (Naruto vs Sasuke at the Kage Summit for example). Too bad half of 4's story mode was anime slide shows :(
There are multiple Gokus cause they go through the arcs of the series. Like this is DBS Goku who can transform into ssj ssg and ssgss. Then we got saiyan saga, frieza saga and buu saga with the forms he had in those arcs.

If you want a basic explanation for how Budokai Tenkaichi transformations works, imagine if Base Goku from Xenoverse can transform into Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue and have the seperate movesets and combos that those versions of the character provide Any character with a transformation in BT3 is basically what a lot of traditional fighting games would call a stance character.
Previous games you could transfer as well as just select your characters and have the transformed from the jump and they stayed that way its up 2 you which you wanted to do i prefered transforming becuse it was cool

Dragon ball bodukai Tenkaichi 4 is called sparking zero because the Japanese name for dragon Ball Bodukai Tenkaichi 1 was call sparking the 2 was sparking neo and the 3 was sparking meteor they just decided to stick with the Japanese name
Super hype and impressed, apart from two or three small things that could be done better, game is looking incredible, plus it’s still in development and no date yet as expected. Characters they showed off today look epic, plus the music just great stuff. 🐉
It honestly feels funny that people forget that burter and jeice are separate characters they both just have the same super attack to have the other in the animation in the tenkaichi games

Xenoverse 2 and BT 3 are completely different gameplay and mechanic wise. If you wanna play a game that’s identical to bt3 then play Raging Blast 2 its damn near identical but still a lil different
I'm not sure about this but the reason they didn't call it budokai tenkaichi 4 is probably because that was the English name for the game and nowadays they don't feel the need to make 2 separate names for games so they just chose the games original name the first 3 games were originally called Dragon Ball Z Sparking then Dragon Ball Sparking NEO and the 3rd game was called Dragon Ball Sparking METEOR now this game is just continuing that naming convention with Dragon Ball Sparking ZERO

Keef literally technically said he never learned the basic combat of the game by calling it a mash fest I’m weak I can’t wait for him to realize how deep the combat was back then.

Both series suck if you play real fighting games, lol. I'm gonna get bored fast because there's really nothing to do creatively with these characters in these kinds of games. It's limited. If these are all the gameplay mechanics... yikes.
Shallow mechanics still and linear combos. If there isn't more than this, this is gonna get boring fast. This is a party game. Not a fighting game. FighterZ was the game for me and it out performed every Dragon Ball game like I knew it would.
Not so shallow anymore, they released a game guide that covers a ton of different offensive techniques. BT3 was extremely mechnically challenging and this is no different.
As a long time, DBZ player(From SNES to Switch), they have perfected the Chase/Dash/Rush system. And did you see the characters selection? I cannot wait to play as General Tao. And I’m not 100% sure, but the last part looked like a battle Royale system?!?!
