The Domingo is my favorite because of its bigger engine and taller gearing. Cruises on the highway really well.

@@Waybeforethefame I haven't, but i have seen a few videos of people cruising in the freeway in one. They said it handles it nicely, but they were manual trans. Thats why I want one. But every one I have seen for sale are expensive. Another plus is that you can get a left hand drive version from Germany. It also shoul dget great MPG because the engine isnt stressed

Mines great on the freeway. Cruising about 100km/hr no problems. Furthest was like 2 1/2 hours into NJ from Brooklyn and back.

@@getonmyhustle 100km is too slow i need to cruise at 120-130. i use to cruise at 60mph in my kei van which is 660cc

@@Waybeforethefame I’m just saying. Running 100km without any overheating issues for 2 1/2 hours was my comfort zone for a first long drive. I’ve done shorter tips like 30-45 min in the 120-130 km range. The 1200cc and gears should allow sustained higher km/hr.

I live VICARIOUSLY through you and your OBSESSION with these cars. I can NOT wait until I buy one ..goal is next year. Why are you turned off by the automatic? I know how to drive manual, but augh, the stop and go traffic is too much for me. Thanks in advance and for your vids. Truly enjoy. Cheers from Miami.

I’ve owned a couple automatic kei cars. I had the Suzuki Jimny and Suzuki wagon r. But auto kei trucks kinda scare me because at the end of the day is 25+ year old work truck with 25 year out auto transmission technically. And if it fails it over. Unlike just change the clutch which is easy

I love the power of the Domingo and the camper features but I want the ability to flatten out the bed so I can have room to haul. Do you know what it looks like if you take the seats out or if you can lay them flat like the other kei vans?

Is that a CVT transmission in the Domingo? I that was some insightful info, the Vivio I got has a ECVT tranny as well. I've been wondering how to maintain/service them. I'm a have to look into these brushes! Side note, that little Vivio be cruising at 120km and the tranny/motor doesn't sound stressed.

ECVT works great with smaller engines 660cc and below and is super reliable but Nissan started using them on larger engines and this caused them to fail because of the torque from the engine power being too high so in a Domingo it could be more prone to failure than say in a Sambar.

@@Polecat54941 Great info! Thank you! It's been running smoothly except for a little stutter my wife felt once while driving. Now I wonder if it's time to change those brushes (I'll have to do more research).

yeah ECVT like yours, if it was a 5 speed wouldn't even be a question i would be driving that thing down to Miami next month lol

I would look for something very similar that is a Kei van , I started watching your videos and subscribed as I'm interested in all things Kei related that is a 1200cc so looses Kei classification, like in the UK we could buy brand new the Daihatsu coppone Kei car 660turbo or identical but not Kei classification as it's a 1300cc, won't stop me watching your videos but still think you should buy a Kei, infact get what is the fastest Kei car which was on sale here the cappuccino it's the dogs bollox LoL.

the thing with kei vans is none of them are good road trips cars because of the 660cc motor. i drove my Mitsubishi bravo on a couple 8 hour road trips and its not fun. Now with the domingo which is basically the same size and with a motor double the size that could be better but i doubt it could still even do 70mph smoothly. And the auto trans are garbage

@@Waybeforethefame I'm telling you, my ECVT Subaru Vivio cruises at 75mph comfortably! I can't imagine a tradition auto or manual not screaming at that speed but this trans was CRUISING and my Vivio is non super charged so it's a baby 42hp (or something like that)
