I took this video on my much needed trip to NC to visit family. I logged out of my social media accounts and shut off. I have been internally battling for quite some time now with who I want to be as an artist vs who I currently am. Mentally putting myself inside of a box, “if I do this type of music I’ll grow faster, if I share my heart they’ll turn away.” Obviously this comes from how I started my career- everyone seemed to favor me rapping. Although I would never take it back, I am over putting pressure on myself. I’m tired of being scared. I have written so many songs and I never drop them out of fear no one will listen. My wife and friends love your country-rap party music, we play it often while in “party mode” and are looking forward to hearing you live for the first time next month in Fort Smith, Arkansas! That being said, we’ve purchased your albums and really enjoy your entire range as an artist. Be yourself and do it all!
