I love the stapler you found! I am the same way with vintage office supplies, waiting for the day that I find a large tape dispenser! So happy that the Heath pieces were still available. They were meant to be yours, that's why they were moved! So no one else would see them!
Put masking tape on the glass in 3 directions and bubble wrap it really good...cushion the box and fill in empty spaces with paper, cut up paper towels core, etc. Seal the box up to ship!
I have sold the popcorn maker before, good find. Make sure you are careful picking up the coffee maker, one of them has a recall. So glad you got the Heath ❤️🔥👩🌾
Yes i hope we don't unload the popcorn maker and find out it's used! LOL. It's happened. And good to know about the coffee maker. I realized I said Alarm Clock in the video but I meant clock radio. Thanks!
Beautiful pottery! Great video. So suspenseful watching you drive over there! I am the same way when I think I passed something great up. I am always amazed when the pottery is in such good condition after being donated. Thanks for sharing all the info on your haul.
Your bins are amazing. I hate when I realize I left something great behind. It’s usually gone when I go back. I’m glad you were able to find your ladle.
After watching flatware Friday, when I think you mentioned to be on the look out for all things Ralph Lauren, I found a Ralph Lauren highball tumbler glass at my local thrift store! I almost didn’t notice the signature. I just thought it looked and felt high end. I was very happy to find it!
We have the same taste. Said that before, but the LOTTO game because of the ephemera, 1000%, if nothing else! The Heath is lovely. The cards! I sold a Tiki Whiskey tumbler this morning. In the 60’s I had my bedroom Tiki themed for a hot minute, and still love the vibe. My Flower Child esthetic soon kicked the tiki to the curb. OFFICE STUFF! Omg…most of mine is deliciously ugly tans or chipped metal. I love it. It’s painful how much I love the vintage stuff. I’m sitting on a turquoise couch from Joybird as an almost 70 year old, so you get my drift. Lol Safe travels!
yes we do get drawn to the same things!! I had a mid century turquoise couch i moved here with but soon had to trade in for something more comfortable for everyone. Lots of couch sitting during the pandemic!! Thanks!
So glad you got the Heath! I was holding my breath. Quimper is pronounced "Kahm-pear" I love Merrells, used to wear the clogs all the time, hope the ones you got fit you. Have a great trip, drive safe!
Great video! I'm very lucky that no one around here knows the worth of Heath Ceramics, even estate sale companies. I do not find it often, but when I do it is never marked up. I once found mugs for ten cents. Just a few weeks ago I found a stack of 6 Dinner plates for $5. for the entire stack! I have a much harder time finding Holly Yashi, but again, never marked up. Both companies are produced in California, and that is where I live.
That's so interesting that you're in CA and they don't know. When we lived in WA, Starbucks stuff was always marked up even if it wasn't worth anything, lol and here in MT...cowboy boots are marked up even though they're a dime a dozen.
In regard to the tiki cards... People collect vintage playing cards...and yours is sealed so it's a big plus...and the tiki motif! I would probably try and auction them first to test the waters, starting at $30. "Vintage Tiki"...If no takers, I would list them for $35 and wait. They will be gone by Christmas. ♥
When I first thought they were gone I thought someone did exactly that. Someone will probably snag the bowls on 1/2 off day...there are a several throughout the week...so this thrift prices things high so they end up getting what they wanted to begin with.
It’s all good. 💛 Can’t win ‘em all. I was at the store the other day day and didn’t see them. Hope they get enjoyed or maybe another reseller can profit!
