But I think if you are hit by a projectile, it disables your block. I only know this cuz some random asriel came by to troll a group of players and use Hyper Goner, and I was using Steven. And I tried to block during the animation. And I even heard the shield summoning sound, and the sound of the shield being hit. Only my Shield was damaged, not my HP instead.
