Not sure if the spray is a hack on the window frames, or if they need to be proerply painted. Does anyone have any advice or are we cool to carry on? Let me know if you have any thoughts with the studio, cant wait to make this awesome but it's going to take some time! Thanks for watching
Are you going to put any blinds in the windows to stop the sun shining in when filming. Also are you going to change the horrible strip lights out for something different? 👍🏼
You should have sanded the surface first, spray painting straight over won't last. I would also paint with a brush, it would be much quicker as you won't need to mask. Assuming you have a steady hand.
Anyone who knows Alex from his vlogs way back in the day will be able to predict where this one is going. There will be a whole pantomime stretched out over several episodes creating this space into something which will last at best six months and be torn down again when the novelty wears off. Much like the "cinema" room in his previous abode!
Been watching since 2013/14 all the way back in the old old house and Brooks TV etc. great to see you still uploading and making awesome content! Excited to see how this studio turns out :)
frames look way better black, not sure spray paint is going to last..will likely peel and flake off..needed to be sanded first. I think dividers would look shite tbh
man i haven't seen your content in like 2 years lmao, i'm glad your still making content! i started watching on an old account in. 2016-2017 and probably haven't since around when covid started! kinda glad tho, now i have a lotttt a of content to go through!
Windows looks cool in black, but I don't understand you bought white outlets, I should buy nice black ones, or is that not available with the UK plugs?
Check out the Matabo wall chaser for putting in those sockets Alex. Not sure if you’ll have time but it’s a really neat bit of kit you can rent for the day too 👍🏼
Dare I say the daily vlogs are back well atleast for now😉 this takes me back to the old days man where I would just wish for the days to go quicker so that it would get to 6pm in time for the vlogs. That was the good old days man & I can honestly say that you’ve came a long way Alex and I’m proud of what you’ve achieved and accomplished in all this time!
I wouldve sanded the wood down a little... P120 then P240 just rough. Then primer 2 thin coats then a couple thin coats of finish. I would recommend satin. Lasts a little longer and easier to clean. Doesn't leave marks that easy like Matt.
@@mrsamuelwatson12 I am the CHURCH. As my maker is SPIRIT (John 4:24) whom created me in His image ( Genesis 1:27), makes me a SPIRIT also. And as i dwell in my body, taken from dust, a place for my INNER MAN, SPIRIT to dwell in. Why on earth then GOD need a building made with hands, when He Himself in His Word, clearly says the opposite: 1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. Therefore, lets correct this advice: "Go outside Get a life And most importantly Go to church" - advice which leads to everlasting death. - Keep out from Babylon. (Revelation 18:4) - lose life here, gain it there, (Mark 8:35) - be a holy church (1 Thessalonians 5:23) - advice which leads to everlasting life. And i see it safe to say, that none of you don`t even know that there is A CHOOSING BETWEEN 2 MASTERS (GOD OR MAMMON) all humans must choose: Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. Therefore I ask again, which is most valuable, everlasting LIFE or everlasting DEATH? Is the fame and riches worthy of life, in which one cant live even in their gender their born in? Ain`t all these needed meds, which shall keep the whole body systems working, deceases ones riches?
the Spray paint isolates the wood and in case of heat exchange the paint is going to chip. There is special paint that lets the wood breath so it does not take damage or chips away.
Another video, I feel lucky. Still love the content and it's not changed much since the daily vlogs before which I like. I still like the style and looks cool when Jed is filming as that type of content looks cool and more professional compared to holding the camera yourself.
Guess what Alex, while it does feel really good to demo a room, on a serious note, you may now run into some issues that with running wires that make you incapable of doing anything but holding your head down and almost crying.... lol Unless you already checked you have to know what's behind the walls now also and even though we see there is an ability to run them, from the ceiling because the light are already there... I'm praying for you! I wonder if you could have just painted the mirrors also. Now that you took them down, you should have taped them ... (OH, please always-always wear safety glasses and boots) and sell them to cover the cost of buying extra paint n supplies then returning unused stuff, so as not to run to the store so often. On the windows, I was wondering what nightmare you might find from ripping the wood off, so I think the painting is a wonderful affect... as you say, the looked modern instantly! I would put up some metal cage like bars on the outside for a even more modern, sophisticated, security feature. Last huge question, is there a place where you have talked about the final design of the place, cause I'm wondering WHY THE CARPET, AND maybe you should have left that floor down and built up the outer edges to level it off, and if you have a storage area, if it does not have asbestos, I would save that flooring to use in a garage or smaller space???... they don't make materials like this stuff much anymore, or it comes at a high price. One of those mirrors could go here for up to 1000 or more. I think of the many companies that have carpenters seeking to find mirrors, such as car companies, dance studios being built etc. Think about the monies you could use to cover your cost!?. All in all, good seeing you on this project! You are always my role model for your content providers taking on any task... you do so much, so well, on your own!
Carpet helps reduce echo and he said in the previous video that the flooring makes it smell like a school so removing it gets rid of the smell. Also you can't power sockets from a lighting feed due to lights using a smaller sized cable as they draw less power.
quick question as a sparky where is the consumer unit in the building (if separate from the house) and if so what rating are the breakers ? tbh would recommend a new install with a 60A supply right from the meter
Why carpet don't you want a sterile dust free environment for your office? Carpets produce more dust some thing like hardwood or tile would be nicer and easier to maintain for an office space.
