The scene in black and white shows ARMY bombs (light sticks) as a background to represent ARMY whom they can't meet in a real concert. That part really got me 😭.
I "discovered" their songs less than 1 month before Life goes on dropped, and watch this MV the first time was such a experience that I didn't think I would have. I cried a lot, and for a song it was a first time in my 29 years of life.
I cried watching the "Life goes on" video for the first time. All the pent-up emotions that have accumulated over 2020. Jin's facial expression, J-Hopes smile, Jimin looking and sounding like an Angel. They all got me in the feels. 😪

You captured exactly how we felt when we first heard this song. It really hit hard. Sad but hopeful. It even becomes more beautiful the more you listen to it.
For me it's the part where Jin turns around in the car to look at everyone. He's so goofy and I love him for it, but he also takes being the eldest hyung very seriously and the sense that he was concerned in the midst of everyone seeming "okay" on some sort of outing...then when everyone else is asleep and it's like he's watching over them. I'm not going to say I cried like a baby, but I didn't not cry like one either. Great reactions Caitlin! Steel yourself because there are a ton of feels in this rabbit hole! I'm an empathetic crier so I start tearing up the moment you do. When you get to songs like Magic Shop, Bulletproof Eternal, Epiphany, Tear, and more, I'm sure I'm gonna be crying too!!

The black and white part was filmed when they did their online concert. It is symbolic of them remembering when they could perform for ARMY live. The lights behind them represent ARMY(holding their ARMY Bombs) just like we would at a concert, but their is nobody there. It is such a beautiful song and they got their message across. They wanted to show with the whole album(which they had a major hand in all aspects of), the 2 sides of their life - the one. Before COVID when they could interact with their fans in person, to post COVID when we are all separated from each other. The guys shot the living room scenes in their own dorm - and the bedroom that JK and Jimin are in at the beginning is apparently JHope’s - probably because he is the neatest. Lol. When we first heard it, a lot of us just cried, and still do... yep, j-hope... they will all come to you, one after the other, find your heart and soul... you’re trapped 😘 ah, just a lovely detail : when Jin sings with all members sleeping behind him on the sofa, re-watch this looking only at Jimin 😉 ... did you notice also, V driving and looking at the stadium... that’s where they had their concerts in Seoul... that’s how they miss us. And the room with the 2 beds : this is j-hope and jimin actual bedroom 😉 the sofa part and this room is filmed in their dorms. You can find a BTS bomb on bangtanTV on yt with all of them around a table talking about how they would like to make this MV. Jimin and Jungkook are glued together. I don't know if anyone said in the comments, but Jungkook who directed this mv, he likes these things to shoot, and there are videos on youtube of videos he made called GCF., Where he records the members. In fact, the first one he posted was the GCF in Tokyo, a gift for Jimin. Jhope is absurdly talented, the members and Rm said that if Rm was not the leader of Bts, Jhope would be, he is a pillar for the members.
I’m so happy that you found BTS. It’s so nice to see new people discovering them and discovering themselves in this journey. So many people have been healed by these 7 dorky, funny, humble and great human beings.

The black and white scene at the end was filmed after the second day of their online concert "Map of the Soul ON:E" on Oct 11th, 2020. This was JK's professional directorial debut. The stadium they drive pass is Jamsil Stadium in Seoul; it's where they would have started and ended their Map of the Soul 7 tour in April 2020 that was obviously canceled due to COVID. :( The entire album, "BE" was written to help them, and everyone else, deal with and express their emotions during this pandemic.
I am certain every person viewing this wept with this. Thx for you gentle attention. Remember for every MV you can watch there r at least 10 and more amazing songs on the album, seriously from their first hiphop teen boy vib to what u heard today. Hope u can enjoy it all. Thx again

You did better than me. I balled especially at the end where they were in full concert outfits sitting in an empty concert venue did me in. You will learn as artists they LIVE to perform and they have openly spoke about how hard this year has been being separated from their fans. You will see in the other songs from "BE" they sing openly about being depressed and very sad this year. They have been struggling just like us.

I felt this whole reaction on a spiritual level 🥺 I still get goosebumps when I watch the video and tbh whenever I listen to the whole BE album you can be sure that I end up crying at some point 🙈😅 but sometimes I need a little nudge to actually let the tears out and they can give me that plus the reassurance that everything will be ok one day... so I'm not really complaining 🤷🏻♀️

I love it that you appreciate Jin and JHope so much. They deserve all the love just like the rest of the members. This song particularly for me was the highlight of my covid lockdown. When it was released, all the struggles, trials and tribulations I went through during 2020, came out in the form of tears. I balled my eyes out watching them on the day. It was a beautiful moment that has now become a meaningful memory for me. 💜

I understand the connection with one of the members like you mentioned J Hope...he is to me a pocket full of sunshine. I love his energy. My bias (who I connect with) is RM. I love all the members because they each have their own unique personalities and their energy just gives off positive vibes. It is hard to choose a favorite song because they have so many songs I love to listen too depending on the mood I am in. This song gives me hope and it says that not just me or my family but everyone including BTS are all going through this together and so we are not alone in this. I know at the end of the video (black and white) they miss doing concerts for ARMY and we miss seeing them in concert too. I just love their lyrics and who they are as humble individuals. Caitlin, I can definitely relate to feeling isolated. Even before this time, when I moved to a new school I didn’t have friends for a year and was extremely lonely. In that time, BTS kept me together. Watching their videos, it felt like I was playing with friends. I hope they can be equally as comforting to you during this time C:
BTS is simply beautiful, together & each in their own unique ways. Keep an eye on J-Hope, there is nothing he can’t do well with all his passion, yet often allows the other guys to be in the spotlight. J-Hope holds their dancing tightly together & keeps their spirits up.
The first time I watched this MV (during its premiere), I broke down and ugly-cried so hard during the last hook when the scene changed with Jin going from color to black & white. It took me an hour to gather myself enough to move on and listen to the other tracks. That was the hardest I’ve cried ever esp bc of how challenging 2020 has been for all of us. This song will always be that comfort song. Your reaction is pure and very much the same as the rest of ARMY & BTS. This song has a special place in my heart and I’m sure it’s the same for you too. 🥺💜
The living room and bedroom with balcony is from own dorm apartment building, They are fortunate to have a dorm apartment in luxury building in Seoul. Many own separate properties for investments and for living when not working. With the security and the hectic schedule - I think many are used to it. But they do have option to other places. I know jungkook said he liked being there because he was comfortable. With Covid- it really gave them a place. If they are practicing and preparing (like they are now) it’s nice. There is a video about their dorm if you go look it up.
I don't know if you noticed, but there's apart where V looks sad after seeing a stadium. That was the Seoul Olympic stadium where they were supposed to perform earlier this year, but the tour got postponed. This is a really sad scene in my opinion because they constantly mentioned how much they miss performing for ARMY and Jimin even cried during an online concert due to this. The guys were hit really hard by the cancelation of their Map of the Soul tour due to Covid, and the fact that they weren't able to perform in front of fans at all this year. The scene where V looks out the car window at the stadium where they had their last big concert in Seoul shows their longing to perform again, and the black and white scene where they're performing in front of empty seats reflects this reality too.
This is actually so beautiful that they emotionally move you in this short period of time that you started to listen to them.
