Ok, number one, you did an AMAZING job on that rocker and cab corner repair Jason!! You should be proud of it, you have the talent for sure. Number two, the second you showed those bushwacker protectors, I ordered them. The rockers on my 06 are rough, and that was going to really cost me big time when it came to selling it. They cost me 315 Canadian (so about $3 bucks in USD lol) and worth every penny! Everyone knows it's the looks that sell a vehicle. The mechanical is the most important, but people don't buy ugly truck. A point you drove home well in your last video when speaking about getting a vehicle detailed for sale, which I am also doing. You probably saved me from losing at LEAST a thousand bucks on the sale of this truck. I can not thank you enough. I had been looking for something like this for weeks, and don't know why I never found these, but they're perfect! I think you're going to feel a lot better selling this truck with the rockers and cab corner fixed properly. Also, now you know you can do exceptional work on these parts, and will have no problems on future trucks. Great video as always brother. After enhanced inspection are you planning on putting the rocker covers back on before selling the truck? In future projects can you just cut out all the rust, weld in patches, get the enhanced inspection done, and then just put rocker covers on? This would minimise the grinding and painting you need to do.
I'll probably keep the rocker covers off since I was able to find paint that matches really well. I'll save them for a future project that either doesn't need an enhanced inspection and has rockers in similar condition to how these were before I fixed them or something that doesn't have nice paint.
yes, it means one of the components in the system is giving the wrong code. Do you know if any of the components have been replaced? Ignition switch, steering column, keys, body control module, airbag module, basically any module? Have you tried doing a 10 minute relearn on it?
