Back to Cali, Baby! Well you know... it really doesnt matter in the end where you live. Its the people inside the house that make your home. You need to take those kids, leave all that crap behind from the old house, go find a SMALL home and live super basic. It is the most freeing feeling! I moved across country with my 7 year old daughter with LITERALLY 1 backpack for me and 1 for her and left everything. I was sad for a few weeks but It felt so good to start fresh. We learned not to focus on things and just enjoy the simplicity. My parents, our cat, laughing watching youtube videos together, eating comfort foods together every night, healing from bad people we let in our lives, sitting in the sun finding animals in the coulds, waking up at 7am and just deciding to go to Disney and get a hug from Pooh and a Mickey bar.... I wish I had a sister to share the bond you have with yours. What a special relationship! Get those kids in the car and start driving to California. Things always seem to work themselves out. ❤

Please do not move again. I would feel so bad for the kids. I am 17 years old and we never moved and it is great. I think especially for children it is so important so have a house that you can call home for more than 1-2 years, and also to have close friends from school kindergarden etc. with whom you grow up. Maybe americans are just different but I live in a neighbourhood were almost no one has ever moved away.

I followed my sister wherever she moved. She was my best friend and passed away from cancer in 2010. I miss her so much!

Oh gosh, Madison. My twin sister moved to California, has three children, and doesn’t share her life with me at all!!! She is very kind to me, but wants no part of me in her life. Even if I moved to California to be closer to her, she would hardly talk to me, or want me to get to know her children in any way. We get along very well, she just doesn’t want me to be a part of her life in California. It’s very sad and heartbreaking, 💔 but I respect her choice to life her life totally 💯 independently of me, as it’s hard being a twin, and feeling like you have to share everything. I only see her once a year at most, and when we are together, she doesn’t want to be close at all, like it was growing up. Hopefully in time, we will reconnect.
