Step 1:

This video explains how to set up the IO port on the IRC5 compact controller using robotstudio.
Please follow the instructions below:
Select DSQC 651 combi device from the template
Change settings to match the following:
Name: d651
StateWhenStartup: activated
TrustLevel: DefaultTrustLevel
Simulated: 0
VendorName: ABB Robotics
ProductName: Combi I/O device
RecoveryTime: 5000
Label: DSQC 651 Combi I/O Device
Address: 10
Vendor ID: 75
ProductCode: 26
Device Type: 7
Production Inhibit Time: 10
ConnectionType: Change-of-state
Connection output state: 2
Connection input state: 2
Quick connect: activated
Step 2:
configurations -: Signal -: Add
Change settings to match the following:
Name: DI0
Type of signal: Digital Input
Assigned to Device: d651
Signal identification label: DI0
Device mapping: 0
Category:
Access Level: All
Default value: 0
Filter time passive: 0
Filter time active: 0
Invert physical value: No
Do this for DI0 to DI7 and similar for DO0 to DO7 (using Type of Signal: Digital Output)
Restart the controller
