I don't think the sand helped at all, and actually might of hurt. Goes to show that a desk mat is just as much a contributing factor to sound as any other modifier can be. Thanks both of you for the video, and as a side note, Jake should be incorporated in more videos, his "went and bought a bunch of junk" comments crack me up. :)
I honestly think betty won that one, because the paint looks really cool (I think it looks nicer with the smudges on the ends lol) and it just kinda sounds better imo plus I feel like here stabilizers were nicer, Jake's keyboard sounded kinda hollow and just alot clickier (obv I know they're linear switches, but I just mean it had the sound to it :/ )
i actually just purchased this keyboard with brown switches, (yes they're scratchy, but i dont mind bcuz my old keyboard had mx blues) and i purchased some prelubed gateron milky yellow switches and installed them (my first upgrade) and it sounds so good! there is still some spacebar rattle, and i still need a screwdriver to tape the pcb. i purchased the switches for $35 and i paid $50 for the keyboard :D amazing keyboard i highly suggest it
I like both, but I'm gonna have to give it to Jake. It might be the cheaper keycaps. I've run my tofu65 2.0 with cheap abs caps and it sounded way better when I switched to more expensive pbt ones
Just looking at that C1 takes me back to typing classes in the early 90s. My current keyboard has the same color scheme as the C1. Can't turn down nostalgia
Roommate has a totally stock RK68 we bought him for 27 bucks. I have a pretty well upgraded GMMK 1 with roughly 180-200 dollars invested. I prefer the 27 dollar RK68. Do with this information what you will.
Keychain is a lot more expensive where I live so I went for the rk68 cuz I need them arrow keys and I changed the keycaps to the akko world tour edition keycaps and it sounds sooo much better. The space bar went went pingy to relatively thocky. Ended up living the switches with some Rubik’s cube lube and honestly it’s amazing for the money
Hi, can you make a video about software for keyboards? Alot of content creators did reviews for keyboard but not many review about the software that comes with it or any software that works with the keyboard. Thank you
personaly i have a RK 61 and it doesn't really work for typing some of the keys dont work for some reason like m n i y u k if your wondering how im typing i have a different keyboard and iv' only had it for like 2 weeks ngl i do not recomend. But if you are looking for a good cheap keyboard try out a HYPER x/Alley Core RGB this is my opinion it doesnt have to be the same as yours have a good day!
the Rk61 has a metal plate, the Fizz has a plastic plate, the Fizz pro has a cable connection, 2.4ghz Dongle and bluetooth, the Rk61 only cable and bluetooth. Want to play wirelessly? Redragon Fizz Pro. just want better overall quality? Rk61. and if you don't mind the wireless connection you can look at the E-Yooso z686 which is 65% with the steel plate and huano switches
I think I came up with a mod let me know: I put shrink tubing on my stabilizers along the length of the rod. Let me know if this is a worthwhile thing to do |_____| ?
