My mom has her own bakery at home but she’s super traditional. Her decorating skills are basic and not the best (first cake looks like something she would do) BUT her cakes taste AMAZING and her customers stay loyal to her because they don’t compare to others ♥️ plus cheaper too!

Katrine Zankel it does matter about taste but they do need to up their pieces by ALOT. They aren’t making any profit. To make a homemade cake, costs a lot. For example, I make cakes and I use expensive pure ingredients to have the best flavours. Pure vanilla extract is $28.99 and I usually use 2tbsp for my vanilla cake and that’s $7 dollars. So charging $15 for an entire cake is ridiculously cheap.

Girl these one-star cakes are Tres Leches cakes that's why they have a wet spongy feeling to them. Mexican style cakes are usually more affordable I have noticed.
