@@shanethrelfall416 The way I see it, I have no problem with people charging eBay prices...ON EBAY. If I'm going to get up at 5:00 - 6:00 in the morning to go to your yard sale or flea market, I'm not expecting to pay eBay prices (and neither is anyone else). If I wanted to pay eBay prices, I'd stay at home in my underwear. ;-)
I appreciate you putting the prices at the end. That’s what hooked me into subscribing to your channel, going on a year now. I can tell you put a lot of time into making these informative videos..THANKS, Matt! Hope to meet you and your beautiful family at a thrift store near our Alabama beaches one day! ☀️🏖
You gotta understand most of these guys are also resellers. Flea markets especially for the kind of stuff matt buys are gonna be higher..yard sales and estate sales will be cheapest of course then thrift stores then flea market then ebay.
After you do this for a while you kinda just know what’s stuff worth but from time to time you find stuff you don’t the value of and what I usually do is I walk away and Get on my phone and search the item up then if the item is valuable I’ll just go back and buy it
Combination of both. I also sometimes walk away noting the location of the booth and do some more research before deciding to come back and hope it’s there
Not sure why I’m attracted to these videos never would I thought I’d be watching this stuff it’s cool to see what people have and how folk negotiations go.
I love the fact that high prices don't discourage you. I passed on stuff bc I'm afraid to ask the price...Its bc I can be shy at times. I know its silly to do this but I do. Great Finds.
Biggest thing that kills me about reselling stuff is the sheer volume of things I have to walk away from due to a HUGE overpriced by someone "just trying to get rid of it" or "downsizing"...I don't blame them...i just see dollars rolling away from myself and it hits the soul hard lol
Even though I like your videos and they teach me a lot, the thing I enjoy the most, is this particular outro. Everytime I hear it, my head instantly starts bobbing.
Cutco has a lifetime warranty on their knives. Pay for shipping to them and they will fix, sharpen or replace. I like to collect about 3 or more together over time and then send. They were down last year because of Covid but are now good to go.
@hay man he could get suspended/removed by ebay and technically pokemon could come after him for copyright but obviously they wouldn't waste their time.
Lawfully there is no such thing as License Merchandise. the whole idea of a licensed for merchandise is 100% illusion, the only entity that can legally or lawfully license anything is the State or Federal Government... Yes I know everyone thinks its true and legit if something is licensed but just because people are ignorant to believe in an illusion does not make it legit. just wanted to point this out. JS... constitutionally no one can license anything PERIOD. if people wish to believe in the illusion, that's fine, but a human can't change its sex either, they can if they decide to believe in the illusion, but that's a whole other issue
Dang! Once again, proof positive, you KNOW your stuff! I was like forty bucks for a baseball glove, but then I saw what that glove sells for. Total respect!
Has anyone else noticed that Ebay is charging a .30 Cent fee to seller for every cancelled transaction! Regardless of who initiated the refund the seller is penalized a .30 cent processing fee. I've been on managed payments since the second roll out and I just noticed this hidden Fee! Unbelievable in my opinion, how many ways can one company screw over their paying sellers.
@@SneaksOnFire The property is owned by a person. It's not a park. That's the reason why when people are doing "audits" they can only do it from sidewalk.
@@parksandreselling that's exactly it. The only people that push that shit want problems. How hard is it to avoid all issues by not filming for 2 seconds.
Hey Matt. have you ever heard of, or personally experienced, when you have an open return or payment dispute, your listings just stop getting views and get no sales until the return or dispute runs its course? I've noticed whenever a buyer opens a return, it's like my listings get shadow banned until the case gets closed.
Dang! Why are their prices so high!? Lol. Our flea markets, are like fill up a box for $2. That duck would be a dollar and Bookbag would definitely be $2 or less. Where do you live? I would be haggling all day, that's just exhausting.
Yes, I love watching these videos! This motivated me go to my first garage sell ever. I've spend $75.00 and the total items I bought were valued up to $635!!!
Nice bro I used to do something similar to this but with video games and systems. I made alot of money. But now I hate most people so I just stick to my day job lol
I found I think it was either 4 or 5 vintage decoy ducks at Value Village ? in Seattle. All but 1 were worth $80-$200 but there was a smaller mini one that was made by a famous maker and that puppy was worth either $480 or $580. Until that day I knew nothing about the value of those decoys and now I never see them LOL
That vendor go's around early and buys from other vendors then raises the prices higher. He doesn't want them to see he just ripped them off. Not a good guy.
I would have told that guy that he could come turn off my camera that I am using in a public setting and have ever right to be doing so. And if he would have had the balls to try and turn it off I would have turned his a** off. You are a gentleman and a scholar for the way you handle that situation.
I had a table a few times at a flea market, felt like I was giving everything away. There is space fee,gas for driving there and my time, made money, but would have been nice to get a little bit more!!!
Ah the local college campus swap meets / flea markets where you can find everything from the garage sales you didn't get to hit. Saturdays are all the stuff that didn't sell from the week before and Sunday is the new stuff they found yard sale'ing on Saturday. I go to these a lot and they were giving you total "gringo" prices , I go with my dad who is caucasian and I am caucasian / asian and look more ethenic and we noticed I get better prices on stuff than him most of the time. But even for me it took awhile to keep going and getting to know the vendors and develop a friendly level with them that I now get consistent good prices, sometimes they hold stuff for me they think I will buy all of and they know they can trust me to buy stuff they are not supposed to be selling and I'm not going to turn them in or freak out about it like a Olin boat flare gun and flares.
Matt, have you had any issues looking up completed Ebay comps lately? I typed in a Sony vcr , hit completed/sold and it said there was zero although there was obviously been sold comps. It has been doing this for other things too. On the phone and the computer! What's going on? Please address this in a video if you can, thanks Keith, flippy mcgee
Thanks for sharing and caring! I always think that the people that don't allow you film are probably hiding something perhaps even illegal dealings? Why else would you not allow filming that could possibly bring them more customers in essence free advertising?
How about some videos on where and how you store and keep all this stuff before it sells and how long you keep it and what you do with what doesn't sell?
Way to go thinking outside the box Matt.. You were getting shot down with high prices but alas you always seem to come out on top.. Nicely done.. Stay safe homie..👍💕🔥⚾😷
When people get upset and say Don't Film Me,they actually bring more attention to themselves! I find it funny... Guess what people, you're filmed everywhere, when you drive(street cameras) random people filming you etc....
when i was about 10 or 11 there used to be a ton of flea markets like this where i live. my mom would bring me to 5 or 6 different ones a few times a year. now almost 30 years later, nothing. there is not a single market where people bring their stuff to set up on their own. everything has turned into a booth that stays there all year long.
The tread on those Doc Martin's didn't look like any tread I've ever seen on a pair of docs. I've had docs since the late 80's. Docs have those air pockets with the rubber bouce back sole. It's literally their selling point and slogan. Not some black foamy looking sole.
Laney is retail prices. Back in mid 90s I use to go there as a teen and buy so much vinyl I’d have to call a taxi home. Prolly pulled 10k in worth of records from there. Now a days it’s way overpriced junk
If you get a whole bunch of worn Cutco knives together, it's worth it to send them in to their factory to get sharpened/replaced. They just charge return shipping to you.
Ive noticed people selling at flea markets always try to sell close to retail value for something that doesnt actually have that value anymore. Lets just take a modernish sports game ill even say like NHL 19 not the oldest title but not worth anything anymore but yet sometimes at flea markets you see titles like that selling for 20-30$ its insane. Then there are those that just want the items gone because they take up room. Also biggest pet peeve of mine is electronics in the middle of the sun, im talking about that xbox one X
I figured out most of the people that don’t want to be on video is for these reasons: 1. Warrants 2. Wanted 3. Don’t want wives to see what they’re selling.
What do you do on high priced items specially electronics to prevent the buyer from switching your item for a defective one? If a buyer does pull a scam/switch, how do you deal with it?
Once a at a flea market got a used 3ds for $50 with a game. The reason why it was cheap was because the paint had chipped off it completely leaving the color black while it was red in some other areas
Interesting to see so many people pay to sell at the Flea Market, only to put the "I don't want to sell it price" on 1/3 of the items. $95 for used Legos. Sure Ace, let me get right on that. Great recipe for being poor forever. Is that sheer ignorance? Or, is that some kind of tactic because they already got their money for the day? Both? Thanks for sharing!
That's dumb to say, the guys probably right about stolen items. He didn't say he didn't want to be recorded, he just didn't want his items he was selling to be recorded. Just cause he's hispanic you assume he's illegal. Your racist bro.
Yeah I find it interesting that he said not to record his stuff. I can understand someone not wanting to be recorded but their stuff. Super rando 🤷🏻♂️ Keep up the good work 👍🏼
Man that reminds me of the big outdoor Flea Market I went to in Virginia when I was a kid. Got pretty much a whole stack of Nintendo and Sega games for less than 50.
I stopped reselling on eBay cause everyone is catching on with eBay prices in my city and ended up starting my own business instead of eBay best decision of my life.
They busted a Flea Market near Tampa selling stolen good and fake Tide products. Tide products are expensive, They would get empty containers clean them up and put just a little bit of Tide in it then fill the rest up with water and sell if for half what it would cost for a new full jug of Tide,
