And I love love LOVE the style and animation of the game, and putting this character in realistic settings, it's giving I Spy book vibes yknow? Hey quin I've got a game recommendation for you! Its called epic mickey! Its an old (2009) Disney game on the wii and its soooo good, i think you'd enjoy because it has fun gameplay and lots of funny moment potential. It's a dark cartoon game kinda like bendy and the ink machine, just a bit more family friendly and it has amazing choose-your-own-path mechanics. And if you enjoy it, the sequel is available on the wii u and xbox 360 and i think PS3 but the sequel isn't as good, I'd still recommend both of them though!

In case you ever want to play even more of that, you could try The Inner World (very cute funny wholesome game), Fran Bow (which has the craziest story, it's very long and heavy horror though) or Little Misfortune (same studio as Fran Bow, but shorter and calmer, with less horror)

hey quin! If youre still up for roguelikes, i have an easier one to recommend! Skul: the hero slayer. I dont wanna spoil anything if you do check it out, but ill say that you play as a mini skeleton creature if thats enough to get you invested (also theres a rookie mode in options that reduces damage taken, if you need it) PS: who does your artwork? Its beautiful!

I'd love to recommend you the new dragon quest monsters game...but theres some quirks about it. Its basically dragon quest meets pokemon which is good But i do not recommend trying to 100% it, because so much of the game requires grinding or luck in order to properly fuse the monsters to make the best ones. Sure its easier with the dlc, but not that much easier

i know we're all talking about the game (and for good reason), but the thumbnail is so good dude

triple A companies can't do stuff like this lmao I feel like gaming is a perfect example of the weird situation some mediums of expression find themselves in. Like, when you have a priceless painting or a tapestry that someone made, its often unique, irreplicable and 100% art. You can't mass produce them and sell them (at least you cant do it well). Music is different because it can be performed, cinema is different because it is meant to be seen. Gaming is weird because out of all the different mediums of art, it is one of the closest to also being, in itself, a product. Its to the point where its both independantly too. Articulating it is hard. point is, even if video games share elements and themes, you can almost always tell what was made to be art and what was made to be product, and in games that are both, you can feel the conflict between two purposes.
