Hey Suede. Big shout out from across the pond! I came across your channel a few months back and loving the great content. Clear and concise explanations, and you've enabled me to find a new love for Civ3 that I played extensively as a kid ☺️👍 Quick question on the C3X mod - have you experienced freezes and crashes using it? I only play single player and it freezes on me approx every 30 mins of play 🤦
@@suedeciviii7142 Okay thanks, I'll take another look at my settings. Enjoyed the stream btw. It's almost more enjoyable to see you lose so you can identify things you could have done differently. Favour the totally random set-up for this reason!
What is your take on total conversions that's totally revamps entire concept of the game, like Escape From Zombie Island 2? It's reasonably fun, and quite a head screatcher to have basically a different game with CIV3 base mechanics underneath.
@@suedeciviii7142 Yeah true, with EFZI2 it takes some time to actually wrap your head about human factions having lethal land bombardment on almost all units and how that could be used in combination with abundant land transports with those insane 10+ tiles mobility. Zombies, on the other hand plays more like run-of-the mill generic no-settlers conquest.
Win some, lose some. Nice try. If you were to play only for conquest victory, what would be the easiest settings and the hardest settings? Map type, water, size, # of rivals, barbs, climate, aggression. Have you ever played cold & arid map?
Generally, stuff like cold, arid, etc favour the human player, because the AI is worse at planting cities, assigning citizens to tiles, and worker moves, which are important with bad land.
