@@AyieShazri I still had issues with the heat-fs, especially in quick engagements. Fenders/headlights/odd armor geometry and other objects on the tank nullified the round too often for me to really trust it.

Yeah Phly doesn't understand the secret change they did to the HE rounds in the game, a few months ago. Many HE rounds now have a flat-pen value, where they get an extra ~10mm of pen. It does NOT apply to the HE damage sphere however, only the direct armor hit by the HE. So if you fire HE at a 40mm plate, with 40mm plate below it, it will pen the 40mm plate it actually impacts, but not the 40mm plate below it. So the 122 pens over 40mm if it DIRECTLY hits a 40mm plate, but won't pen the roof of a tank if it is also 40mm. As most people use HE to pen the roof of tanks, this is an almost pointless buff to HE. Use the 30 degree HE pen to figure out how much the HE damage sphere actually penetrates, as this is how people indirectly penetrate tank roofs by shooting the turret. A bit confusing, but this is how 'MOST' HE works now.

@@C1pher187 yep the 152mm gun and the 122mm A19 and its tank/ spg versions firing HE could knock the turrets off Panthers and Tiger I's or make the turrets cave in.

I'm playing the M60 with apds and m48 with apcr, playing the stock Leo with apds was much worse. Also, you maybe mean feel the pain of fighting T-55AM-1 not Leo's.

It isn't an AP tank in real life. Its purpose is to blow up bunkers and support infantry. The AP is an afterthought.

@@lennarthumpf8031 The SU series, perhaps. Do you really think that they needed to make them with longer length, higher velocity guns for fortification work (ISU series)? No, if that was the sole purpose, a short-barreled version was perfectly adequate. The longer barrel was used to provide enough velocity to allow AP to have decent penetration as well as flattening the trajectory of the shell for easier aiming against armored vehicles.

At BR 3.0 the 3 inch Gun Carrier is always in my British hangar. Effectively, it's a Churchill with casemate instead of a turret, so it can take a lot of punishment, especially if angled. The Nigels can stop for a cup of tea and be pretty safe, unlike what happens with SPG's usually! Granted it takes a lot of getting used to, but nowhere near as much as the Archer!

I actually like the M3, it's actually got me many many kills over time.

actually i almost killed a panzer 3 50mm that is 0.3 or 0.6 BR higher with my hull gun and stopped most of his shells (of course its not because i had only 2 crew members that were hidden behind 4 bodies)
