"... we did drugs and then I could speak spanish" LOL Your commentary throughout had me laughing so much! Brilliant take on this challenge and it was really fun to watch!
This was definitely not a failure. Completing the community center in 100 days (less than a whole year) is a very tall order, especially for a blind play through. I have 4,000+ hours in the game and often don't complete it that quickly. I enjoyed your commentary and fresh perspective. I would watch 200 days or 100- end of year 2 even. 😊
a lot of the progress you made so quickly was super impressive! Finishing the community center year one is a stretch even for people that are pretty good.
Definitely, doing it requires planning ahead, which isn't possible on a "newbie playthrough". It's a good goal to give, though so you have something to work towards.
Nice and quick tips if you ever see an ancient seed in the traveling cart purchase it. Always check the beach for forgeable items, and get the iron axe before summer first.
Aww man, 112 days is a full year! If you had gone the last 12 days you probably could have got the large brown egg, talked to the guy on the shore with the pendant, then given her an amazing gift on The Winter Star festival and basically got married on Christmas! But definitely would watch more of these!
@11:22 You had half the Energy because you exhausted yourself the day before :D The Blue Icon above the energy bar is because you feel sluggish, you will wake up with half Energy unless you upgraded a Skill that day.
Ahh, Stardew... the "Cozy" game that fills you with nonstop stress with its 15 minute time crunch days and seasonal one-offs that make you wait an entire year to finish a bundle if you forgot something. Yeah, no. These days if I play Stardew, I go Joja all the way. Play how I want, unlock whatever I want, all I need is cash moneys. Now that is cozy. :)
This is a great start for a beginner. For a blind first playthrough I'd probably recommend at least half the cc bundles, including the greenhouse; date at least 1 person and get at least 5 people to 5 hearts. Highlight talking to people because they reveal info about others, like loved gifts.
Canes3piece lmao. awesome video. i’m also a stardew newbie i’m on year two of my first ever play through. i love it so much but i make slow progress. i am married but still need to complete the community center.
Thanks for sharing from a perspective of a beginner! I really wanted to get into Stardew Valley more and did enjoy from little of what I played with it, but there's so much to do in this game that even looking up mere tutorials already feels overwhelming that I ended up playing it blindly + only basing of my knowledge from playing Harvest Moon as a kid lol. Your video helped me a lot to lessen that feeling and made me want to pick up the game again someday, thanks!
ooh i’m excited for this, came at the perfect time since i’m back into stardew currently. i’m on fall year 8 and i’m going for 100% completion, so far i’m at 90%.
Met everyone in a second day?! I'm impressed. Even tho "me" play stardew Valley for years I still can't manage to meet everyone in first first day in game, idk why my brain never remember where they'll be.
11:20 If you go to bed after 12:00am you receive a penalty to your energy regen. This penalty is increased even further if you go to bed after 1:00am This Penalty DOES NOT apply if you gain a level that day though. So early game it's pretty common to wake up with full energy most days since you're gaining levels pretty often.
No way you bet everything on orange and won. If you haven't by now, you should look up the odds of that minigame... lmao Great video btw, I really enjoyed your commentary.
@@Raylan.Hood16 oof, that’s insanely bad luck depending on how many times you’ve done it. Last time I was at the festival I lost about 2500 on green and decided that it was just not my day.
You did great for a first, blind playthrough! Really enjoy your commentary. Nobody completes the community center in a year on their first playthrough unless they do a lot of research and planning, and even then it might not happen. And what's the fun in that? Just discovering the game is much more enjoyable. I would love to see you complete up to year three and find out what Grandpa has to say.
"...bought stuff from Harvey for the first time in 96 days (laughs)" you mean for the first time in stardew valley history 😭😂 I loved this video so much, even as a veteran SDV player!! Your energy makes it worth the watch ♡
Love seeing how somone else learned the game compared to how I learned it, like what you pick up on when. You not knowing that staying up too late or becoming exhausted gives you an energy penalty the next day, something I figured out pretty earily (I think the tv might even tell you?) but then figuring out the pet water bowl in spring 1, which took me until year 2 or 3. I just didnt know you also have a relationship with your pet, bc for your farm animals it shows your hearts when you try to pet them again, for the pet there's no such menu (until 1.6)
The reason you woke up with half energy on day 14 is because after 12pm, you'll gradually lose a percent of your starting energy the next day, the amount increasing until you hit 2am. If you level up a skill overnight, this prevents the energy decay! I tend to use this for long fishing and mining trips since it lets you get an extra 2 hours with no penalty
Great video! Also in the beginning when you woke up with half energy, that happens if you exhaust yourself or use most of your energy and go to bed past 1am
Realistically, new players should 1000% use the wiki/guides. Experienced players and pros all do, it's not frowned upon AT ALL in the community. There is just SO much in the game that is fun to discover on your own, but if not knowing what you can do/how to do what you want to is preventing you from playing, absolutely use the wiki. Restart the day if you forget something. The game is supposed to be fun, if you're not competing in official speed runs, don't feel afraid to "cheat" if it means you have a better time. Stardew is an amazing game chocked full of things to do, but kinda suffers from almost NEEDING the wiki to get the most out of it oftentimes.
This was a banger vid, I so hope you continue on with 200 days, maybe even beyond that if you would like to! I will let you know that you could have theoretically bought a red cabbage fully grown from the Traveling Merchant, and she always comes to town on Fridays and Sundays. It was interesting watching this as a seasoned SDV player but still a lot of fun, and I hope you enjoyed playing! My best advice, though, is for you take it at your pace. At the end of the day, this game is meant to be fun, and it’s not worth stressing yourself out or disheartening yourself for challenges. There is no ‘right’ way to play the game as a whole and I hope you aren’t too hard on yourself for being a self-titled newb!
I can't imagine you playing through summer without at least a backpack upgrade! Even making it so far down the mine without one. Honestly it was my first "big" purchase haha. However I have hoarder issues
For a blind (i.e. almost no wiki) first (mostly first) playthrough, that was very decent. And I can tell you that even after reaching perfection (which takes 24h in a speedrun, 70h ours if you're good and 200h on your first attempt) 5 times, I still can't be arsed to remember what season, time of day and weather all different fish can be caught in.
EDIT: Came to my senses, this is WAY better than making snacks out of dead people. Even than then eating them. This game is so, so, so much more than I'd bargained for when I got it on sale. Buy GK first so it's not ruined by how much more there is to SV. ALSO I loved the bit about learning "Spanish". Others have said as much but it merits repesting 😂
hi I just want to say. the reason why you woke up with half of your energy bar was because you used to much of your energy where when you woke up it did not fill up all the way.
Every time i watch someone else's video i learn some dumb thing I could've been doing all along. in this case it's clearing the dead crops with a scythe instead of a hoe. thank you for your service.
Tis never a waste to make an iridium sprinkler... With the one exception of, unless you have enough iridium sprinklers already made to irrigate your entire farm... Oh and enough for [redacted] when you get around to that. But that is not particularly likely to happen in the first 100 (+12) days, if you are not already familiar with the game. ;) NOTE: Very few people will fault you, for going a whole year, even though it's technically 112 days per year at 28 per season.
