I saw an interview with him. He said that he used to have a weak computer and the game was laggy, so he couldn’t click much. He was used to clicking a little and when he got a better computer, he did not relearn
I remember just he explained his love for the early game cheese and rejection of the big army late game with the weak laptop he started playing on. In fact the first Geni games i've seen were the cannon rushes against Alex007 I guess.
1st game, that reaper escaping twice with the perfect grenade both times. Marc reaper micro is SO GOOD!!! Perfect scout on dark shrine, too. And reaper still alive to rescout later. *chefs kiss*
Harassing the opponent when they are already at highest lvl units seems like a pipe dream strategy. It's hard to stop a juggernaut when you let it pick up momentum without putting an army that counters it.
It's interesting to look at this video, or other pros, and see how much of their APM is just redundant button presses or clicks. At least half thier APM does nothing effective.
Yeah, honestly I really can't watch a lot of them because they just go around flipping their camera around and clicking wildly for no good reason at all. Like, you don't need to set the damn rally point ten times, just click once. So annoying...
The dude played like zerg. Expand like crazy, make a lot of zealots and drones. Also the dt just waste so much scans that should go into mules. He has 5 base (with a gold) while uthermal only has 3. He has I think 8 bases by the end of it.
I think that there is something to be said for this level of game knowledge - he played at a very high level while efficiently using his tools. Its like watching an MTG pro use a really strong 'braindead' aggro deck and knowing the damage breakpoints and when to push damage and when to recoup. He knew exactly how much he could lose in fights and didn't overplay his hand. Great Game.
heres a video of one of his streams playing ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q3Oa-BuOjT4.html really fascinating to see this POV on a 6kmmr GM player. im around 4800 with 250apm and to think he just mogs me this hard
@@alfrebi9639 yeah the way he talks is very analytical and head knowledge-oriented. It is insane how slowly he plays. I mean I used to be low masters, and almost all my opponents were way faster than me, and still I was significantly faster than this dude in every matchup.
It should automatically strip out pointless hotkey clicks that don't result in an action when it calculates APM. Actually, just remove control group selections and cam location hotkeys from the APM counter and that'll be much more accurate of actual APM.
Marc u need to do a mini series on him. One video replay analysis and a second one with him on voice chat and a third one with real time game play. Edit and one video where u play him with a capped apm
Didn't know there's a pro player similar to me clearly better but made it to 5.4k with an avg of 80 apm with protoss I don't play anymore usually just watch you and loko
He's playing a little bit like alphastar did. Which is to say, he's got decent micro and unit control, but really just carries himself on the really solid macro.
I used this strategy every TVP in last and this patch. You did a good job. 😮3rd base is late indeed, but I don't think it's a problem. Because your mass widow mine drops take it back. I think the problem is your tanks should never go outside unless you reach 200. Your cyclones, mines and hellions can keep trading with his economy. Always make protoss lose by staving not by defeating him. I am not a pro-gamer, maybe I am wrong. But this strategy is what I do all the time. Hopefully it helps.
Propably would be better at multitasking. But most people just spamclick to increase apm, rather than have effective actions. Also he would gain acess to more builds (stalkers, zealots, stargate units)
This is a very educational game. All that protoss needs to do is just sit back and build up collosi. It's up to terran to take all the risk dropping in the blind under observers. It really is not a level playing field. Once they built up their death ball - it takes one tenth of the skill to engage it compared to how much it takes to control it. I've seen protosses on ladder with 70%+ winrate in pvt.
And on the other hand many protosses just get amoved by a terran army because their control wasnt good enough. The terran army is 100% stronger than toss on a amove
