There are also some difficulty rom hacks for Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire too. Rising Ruby and Sinking Sapphire I believe? And they might have difficulty patches available too.

Fighting can't hit ghost but ghost can hit fighting, you're probably thinking of normal where normal and ghost can't hit each other

to explain how lucario outsped u in gym 3 it was because vaccume wave is a priority move and the reason mega venusaur outsped was because it has the ability chyrollophyl so when the sun is out it doubles its speed
