Try join a good tribe and that or just stick to pvp im quite good at pvp but pve is much funner

you have a few options depending on what you want to do, 1. join a big tribe aka a mega tribe... the road most travelled. 2. build stashes of stuff everywhere, there are certain op hiding methods that i use, that even work against espers (something you wont have to deal with). a good place for raising stuff, is just anywhere far away from astroids in the gen 2 space biome, just use common sense when picking a spot, i've had 400 gigas just chilling in the middle of space before, never got found, they eventually auto decayed because i forgot to render them. this is the best option if you are planning on staying solo or duo or even trio. 3. the fools path, build a base and try to hold it against mega tribes, there are spots that are strong enough (with the know how) to defend them 69 v 1 (thou if this happens you probably did something lmao). the kurtis rathole on gen 1 is very strong if its built correctly, lived there for 2 1/2 years as the leader of a tribe that never exceeded 7 active players, but we also used bots to push notifications to discord if stuff was happening which is possible with ps4 but much more technically involved then i can explain over a youtube comment. my discord is TheNamesGlitch and i have 27k hours on 1x pvp, if you want to message me for some more advice i won't mind.

They are a pain to tame

Nah, they are easy money. fishbasket and ghillie. Snipe the others around it. After using them, it's pointless to use other tames besides that, and a stego is all u need. Free kits with a shadow. Easier to get on fjordor as it's a smaller area to get them and less dinos to agro on to you.
