In this video, I Played Batman Arkham Shadow... The kind folks at Meta flew me out to Germany to attend Gamescom and get an early hands on with Batman: Arkham Shadow. In this video, you will find my honest thoughts with the new Batman Arkham Game, exclusive to the Meta Quest 3!
ABOUT BATMAN ARKHAM SHADOW:
Gotham City is in danger. And you’re the only one who can save it. Batman: Arkham Shadow, coming late 2024. Only on Meta Quest 3.
Collaborating closely with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC, we aim to deliver an authentic new entry in the celebrated Arkham franchise, something that the series' millions of fans will know is no easy feat. The prospect of adding a new chapter to such a storied franchise is exhilarating. (And it's been a lot of fun.) We are committed to building upon the beloved foundation laid by the legendary team at Rocksteady, and driven to do it justice.
From the start, Batman: Arkham Shadow is being crafted to be the ultimate VR game and take full advantage of Meta Quest 3. Prequel normally means big sequel is coming. Hopefully its something like this idea that i had Which is a 3 protagonist game with a combination of the cancelled game and Batman Beyond. Basically the whole Batman Incorporated from the comics where there were multiple Batmen. There would be the Old bearded Mid 50s-Early 60s Bruce Wayne with the exoskeleton that we saw in the cancelled project. Damian Wayne in his late 20s with the trenchcoat outfit from the comics but in Arkhamverse style And 16 year old Terry McGinnis with the Beyond skin from Knight (Side characters would be Tim Drake now RED Robin,Red Hood but older like in the Injustice 2 comic and Nightwing with grey side burns like we see him in Batman Beyond comics. Such a game would also do what Gotham Knight failed to and undo Suicide Squad What do you guys think? I think it makes sense cause people have been asking for Batman Beyond game and also talking about the "cancelled Arkham game" Same way we got Origins before Knight,it would be great if Shadows leads to Arkham Legacy for the PS5

How expensive VR is. It’s pathetic. Also an Arkham game should be single player console games. Not ps-3 like graphics in a VR game. It’s mostly why I have no hopes for the game. I would’ve loved to have a Batman VR game in the future because the world of VR of Batman’s perspective and pov would be captivating. But not a story that takes place in the Arkhamverse. Because we’ve wanted a Superman game for a sequel to Arkham Knight. There was even a Batman Beyond Arkham Game in development and they scrapped it.

Yes and no, you still decide which enemies to hit and if you want to ground take down them or beat down them. You just punch out whichever enemy you choose and you physically do the motion, you can’t choose what kind of martial arts attack you use in a combo in the actual Arkham games either its just differing animations unless you use a gadget. Functionally it’s pretty much the same and adapted really well

To me i definitely respect that the team put a lot of love into this game but it feels like it’s a slap in the face to fans especially after going so long without one and the abysmal suicide squad game. We should’ve gotten Arkham console game. You know the thing that made Arkham games so great but no. They decide to waste time period in the Arkham verse on vr game that a majority of the Arkham fans won’t be able to play. This game will not make money because no smart person is going to pay $500 for a meta quest just to play one game.
