I put $100 on a single hand of blackjack at every casino on the Las Vegas Strip. #lasvegas #travel #hotels ⬇ 🌐 All My Links! (click here👇🏽) linktr.ee/pompsie All 🎶 music in this video is by iSaintJames! / isaintjames
No, it means that he wasn't playing Blackjack. It means that he was probably playing Free Bet Blackjack. In Free Bet Blackjack,, you can double down or split for free. Instead of having to put in more money. Another game that the dealer pushes on 22 is called Blackjack Switch. In this game you are playing two different hands and if you want, you can switch with hands go with each other. So if one hand was A-3 and the other hand was K-8. You could switch them to A-K and 8-3. He wasn't playing this though, because he was only playing one hand. Also, pretty much every blackjack table on the strip is 6/5.
You will most likely not be able to find 3:2 on the strip unless you play high limit. Sometimes you’ll find 3:2 in main area but it’s usually $100 min but that’s extremely rare.
Blackjack is the casino game with the lowest house edge. However, notoriously on the Strip they have found ways to subtly gain a bigger edge over the player. These small edges come in the forms of "22 push" or "6:5 payouts for Blackjacks" (for example when you hit the Blackjack at Cosmo and Aria you would have received $150 on a 3:2 table instead of $120 at a 6:5 table) or "dealer must hit on soft 17's." If you enjoy playing Blackjack and want greater odds of walking out the door with money then avoid these tables at all costs. Also, the casinos offer basic strategy charts in the gift shop and when followed to perfection you can often cut the house edge to a mere 0.5%. When card counting is implemented perfectly the player edge can be anywhere from 1-5% which terrifies casinos!! Hope this helps! Sincerely - a Blackjack card counter.
I’m headed to Vegas for the first time as a 20 something year old, I’ve read that they’ll use up to 8 decks, is there a way to effectively count cards in a situation like that?
@@PlasticGhoul no not really its to many cards for you to count and to many possibilities. If your going to play with 3+ decks in a table like that go to free bet games. Look at their rules and then play to increase your odds on side bets. I witnessed a player next to me win 2 grand on a side bet and he had bought in with $100 but again its all luck
First off, fun video. 👍🏻👍🏻2 Thumbs up. However, I am up in arms about this Push 22 thing and the casinos changing BlackJack payouts from 3:2 to 6:5. Getting too greedy. Glad u beat them at their own game. A “W” for the good guys!!
Yeah. And that, along with continuous shuffling,...you might as well be playing slots. I hear there are a few places that still play fair, but not on the strip or Fremont.
Pompsie I did not experience as much anxiety in this Vlog. I believe when playing BlackJack you have a bit more control in the outcome. Awesome sauce that you ended your day up. Great series. Looking forward to your next challenge.
Love these videos as they give some insight into how the card games work in Vegas especially for people who don’t know how to play them 👌🏻#vegas #cardshark #blackjack #pompsie #greta #keepemcoming
You don't know how long I've been waiting for you to play blackjack! That's the only game I play and way more interesting and nerve-racking than slots. That was, to me, way cool! Next: Fremont!
Great channel! The 6-5 payout on a blackjack up and down the strip kills me! It's hard enough to win! Congrats on the $220! Would have been $250 on a 3-2 table lol
thats why they have triple zero roulletes now since gamblers are gamblers and dont think about odds good way to cheat players with same payouts as single or double 0 lol
@@danielcyr6489 even with 3:2 payout the house has the edge just due to the fact that the house goes 2nd so player will bust first, so with the payout being even less after they already have the advantage is straight robbery
I didn't think it would matter what games you played because I would be interested no matter what, however I want to note that I found myself more invested in the table games than the slot machines, which I found my mind wandering during those two videos. I was holding my breath during roulette and counting your BJ cards along with you! Phew.... I also realize that I like it when you tuck in helpful tidbits of info, like how many casinos are on the strip, that the El Cortez still uses coins, or that shot of the new "Trop-e-cana" pool. Thanks for all the hot tips! I'll be visiting your town soon and hope to catch a glimpse of the famous Pompsie and Greta!
Hi Pompsie and Greta..., Excellent video and "Congrats on your WIN"... Nice casino tour too... Mike in Montana P.S.: Miss your "Texas Hold'em Poker"... :)
That game was Free Bet Blackjack. You are able to split any pairs for free, except 10 value cards, and double down for free on any hard 9, 10, or 11. The house gets the edge back by pushing on a dealer 22.
Pompsie! You and Greta are like a ray of sunshine and joy. Not just for the city of Las Vegas. But also for RU-vid. My wife and I look forward to your Vlogs like we would a favorite TV sitcom. Have an awesome day, dude!
That was a very cool video. I need to teach my boy some blackjack tricks and tips! I’m impressed you got all the footage. Not sure how you did it, but that was cool. How long did it take you to hit all those casinos? That’s a lot of work. Nice job. Two thumbs up.
Don't be afraid of table games. The reason that many people don't like blackjack is that other players will (ignorantly) complain that you "play wrong", "took the dealer's bust card", "ruined the order of the cards", etc.
@@djm5687 I got plenty of those when I first started. The thing with blackjack though as you become better is you start utilizing splitting and double down more.
Don’t be afraid. Anyone gives you a hard time tell them to shut their mouth and worry about their own cards. I count and have people on me for certain plays all the time. Funny thing is, people who actually know blackjack(counters) keep their mouths shut.
Great video! My idea for future content would be you trying different games that some people might not know and sharing your thoughts on them like craps, pai gow, baccarat etc
Honestly this was extremely exciting. It gave me confidence to keep playing until i win. Quitting is for losers! YOLO! Keep up the good content Pompsie!! I play until theirs nothingleft within my budget!!
3 CARD POKER WOULD BE EASY TO DO. Same with high card flush. Love the series btw. Been watching for years, finally subscribed today with this new vid. Great work!
Did you film this yesterday? I saw you at the resort worlds last night. Wanted to say hi but didn’t want to fanboy over ya! 😂✌🏻 love from the U.K (well not currently) 😂
