This game has a secret co-op mode. During the boss fight where Vergil is helping or when using the doppelgänger style, if a second controller is connected player two controls either Vergil or the doppelgänger respectively.
Sadly unless it's been updated only the ps2 version allowed the co op as the HD collection as of the last time i played it doesmt allow for co op. He'll im still waiting for co op bloody palace mode which was a switch exclusive to the collection.
To clear up what Dante's job is or shop is for, he's pretty much a mercenary who do odd jobs but he mostly takes contract that are more strange and supernatural because not everyone is aware of demons.
now that makes more sense to me, i always thought that his job is just a demon hunter, but playing dmc4, trish says "it's a customer with the password" so maybe that means not all of his gigs are demon hunting, but if you got the password, it gives dante the message that it's a demon hunting job
@@cycloidgamma127 Exactly! Yeah he's a bit of a merc, but also a private investigator. As we see in the anime, he also takes (or gets reluctantly volunteered for) a variety of other jobs including bodyguard, detective, etc. It's a good cover in between demon hunter jobs and pays the bills (well...somewhat, haha. He can never seem to get out of debt).
I think Vergil's lust for power stems from his trauma of losing their mom. Since their dad died, Vergil felt that as the older brother, he had to protect his family, which he couldn't do, so he keeps trying to gain more and more power to try
50:03 dmc 3 was my first dmc game, so when I first saw this scene I just thought it was a cool little send off for vergil. This scene hits different now that I know what happens to vergil after this
So Dante's job is effectively a detective agency, but he only actually takes on jobs that interest him (demons) and because of that is constantly broke.
"Why can't we just get along?! We could just like 'Heugh! Blast!' together, and it would be beautiful!" Hahaha, loved the video, great editing! Thanks for sharing your DMC3 journey with us :D
Thjis game was quite a surprise when I first played it in 2008. Didn't expect to have a action hack n slash game to have such a strong narrative and characterizations.
Such a great combination of hack and slash combo oriented game play, horror aesthetic and a touching, even relatable story in some senses. Even a lot of years later it's still quite good.
Wtf I literally just finished watching the first video after completing the game myself again and was thinking to myself "Sad she abandoned the series" lol WHAT IS HAPPENIIING
Watching this in it's entirety was not how I imagined spending my sunday afternoon. As someone trying to get a friend to play this for the first time, reliving it again through your experience was super fun. It's campy, it's goofy, it's a spectacle.. then realize there's even more lore and deeper story behind the other games where things are fleshed out or even the manga and anime. It's not super deep but it's got that So-Silly-Its-kinda-cool vibe to it.
I was recommended this video from watching a ton of playthroughs of ps2/3 classics and I know the story from cover to cover, it is so funny and refreshing to watch a newcomer and their reactions to this gem of a game. 😂
At that point where Sparda's power consumes Arkham's body and he transforms into a multi limbed blob, then you do find yourself staring at a backed up toilet.
He's not an edgy, it's much more complicated than that. This game has a very good story. No other installment in this franchise even comes close to one like this.
Man, seeing someones blind reaction to thos game was super fun, lived the vid! (But also seeing someone at endgame on the first healthbar without devil trigger upgrades was painful)
When you think about it they’re both very similar franchises. Dark and gothic (yet also humorous) hack and slash etc. and in fact, I’m pretty sure it was confirmed that both franchises take place in the same world/universe. Not only are the games similar, but both Dante and Bayonetta are very similar characters as well.
No matter what game in this series you choose to play next (DMC1 is next chronologically), you have to get caught up on the story somehow (cutscenes on youtube are fine) and play DMC5 at some point, you'll have a lot of fun with it.
Decent reaction but you're probably the only person I've ever seen to consider the game goofy or nerdy while making fun of almost everything in it. But that's fair, this game isn't for everyone.
That is a big compliment from me, and I see that comment of the series a lot, it's such a fun silly game, like Dante does a dance number in a hat in 5 hahah, it's a good thing
