Growing up I thought Buttercup was a boy🤣 I think it was just because she’s green and very tomboyish and I was kinda of an idiot sometimes as a child 😅
What makes the light trilogy more interesting is that it's canon to the story so you're basically playing an episode of Steven Universe that didn't go on air
Since I’m from Canada, I was either a YTV fan, a Family Channel fan, or a Teletoon fan. I myself was a YTV fan. And YTV will always have a place In my heart.
I disagree on Pirates of the Enchiridion, mostly because I really like RPGs, and I thought that grinding out power improvements was super fun, and the dialog was amazing. The interrogations made sense to me because Finn and Jake decided they were going to solve the mystery as detectives, so grilling for clues is on brand. BMO also really changed the combat.
I've waited for someone to make a in-depth video on all the Cartoon Network licensed games(including the crossovers) like this for years now. Didn't disappoint! Too bad a lot of these games were disappointing, though.
1:05:02 fun fact: if you go to the developers website, you can see they planned a version for the _original_ ds at some point now THAT wouldve been quite the game to be the final title on a console!
No wonder the Johnny Bravo game was terrible. It was made by Blast Entertainment For those who don’t know: Blast Entertainment is infamously known for making shovelware titles based on shows and movies A few examples are Mr. Bean, An American Tail, Beverly Hills Cop, and their most known game: Home Alone (all on the PS2)
The o.k.k.o. game has that awful Facebook artstyle, but it works, if you want a really good game with the artstyle, play going under, it plays sorta like Hades with more physics
@24:16 that sounds like input lag. Could be caused by the emulator you're using. Also just after when you're talking about weird controls... When I was a kid every game had totally different controls. I really dunno how I managed to play them so well. Gen z says linear like it's a bad thing. I'm so sick of open world games. Give me a linear game like this anyday 😁 @31:20 so it's a powerstone clone. Definitely check that series out if you haven't.
That's something I notice when playing these older games. They expect you to read the manual to know the controls. And I definitely will check it out! :)
@@CamReviewsi miss those days. I hate forced tutorials. Next game that tells me to press X to jump... I think I'll loose my shit lol I'm at the 38minute mark so far and the only one I've known is Dexter and I never watched that 😆
Cam, I was one of those kids that did watch all three channels religiously, while CN was my favorite as well, I’m glad I did, also had a ps2 and gameboy advance, then I had a nds and ps3, you’re channel has been a great blast to the past between your handheld Lego games, tie-in games etc. I can feel my childhood memories seeing someone review games I was afraid that I was the only weird one to grow up with
51:02 i mean, that doesnt sound bad to me its always fun when a game tries several genres in one. it reminds me of an underrated ps2 title called haven: call of the king, which also had a bunch of game genres in it and even called itself a "freeformer" 51:50 AND YOURE NOT SOLD ON THIS!?!?
I remember this one Cartoon Network game on PC, well really 2 games, it was apart of a 2 game disc that included Dropple and Fast & Flurrious. It was one of the games I would RARELY go to when I'm not playing Timon & Pumbaa's Jungle Games, another glassic game I enjoyed playing
19:48 It wasn't, Antonucci willingly chose to end the show with the movie. Although the crew behind the show did lose 2 members, one of them being Paul Boyd who worked on a tv special sequences. I have a theory that if it wasn't for his death, season 6 would be complete. Yet at the same time i can't help but think that Big Picture Show saved the show from cancellation. After all, CN was going through a cartoon purge on 2008, the same year the movie was released.
I loved the adventure time game as a kid! I liked the dungeon sequel on the xbox, but I wish wayforward had another shot at the franchise to basically do a modern at game that plays like the 3ds one! They can do so much more now with all the content
I must admit I really love your videos. 😁 You inspired me to grab a bunch of Lego games. This won't work with cartoon network games, since most of them are meh. But it is wonderful to feel nostalgic about all the shows I grew up on.
I watched my fair share of Cartoon Network shows, yet I only owned & played Ben 10 games back in my childhood. I also own LEGO Dimensions & the Adventure Time content was a must grab for me.
Are you genuine about never wanting to talk about that ed edd and eddy game ever again? Like if someone were to bring it up in a conversation you would leave?
if you do end up making a video on nickelodeon shows you should try to play Spongebob Supersponge for the PS1! it's another 2D platformer similar to the Ed, Edd, n Eddy one you talked about with the 3D bodies and plastered on faces, except this time the art style actually kind of works because of how Spongebob is shaped lol. also the environments actually feel more like places from the show. i have pretty fond memories of playing it as a kid and watching this video prompted me to look it up again, so if you did end up talking about it that would be super cool!
I wish they did more with the Adventure Time games. I always felt like the universe is asking, no BEGGING, for an expansive game of it's own. But I feel like they instead just rip-off elements from other games and slap it in the Adventure Time universe edit: I highly recommend watching OK:KO. I haven't played the game but from what you're describing, I think the dialogue would be a lot more enjoyable with character context. Each character has their own arc in the show, and they're all lovable. Even the antagonists
That's pretty crazy, i watched all 3 channels as a kid, i didn't like every show in each channel but there were 3 channels and they were right next to each other so there usually always something to watch on one of them, i had friends and cousins who watched other channels like 4kids or jet x i think is actually the name idk but i did see that channel too sometimes but i usually stuck to the main 3, id even watch the secondary channels they all had, which were disney XD, nicktoon network, and boomerang. But that's just me obviously like my friend and family i mentioned i already know not everyone was like that but im sure im not alone
btw, planning on doing the flash games next? if so, could you please try the Bloo jumpscare game they had? that one scared me alot when i was a wee lad
as your local Ben 10 fan, the fandom LOVES protector of earth, this is our battle for bikini bottom, and the main appeal of the game was always the combo system and how you can experiment with the amount of options for combos, it's specially really fun to go back with every alien unlocked and play from the start, honestly if this game came out on the SNES or genesis it would fit right in, and sure some of the puzzles and boss fights are far from good, but that was never the appeal of the game to me or anyone else really, sad you couldn't enjoy it but beat em ups is a genrenot everyone is gonna universally love
Love that you used the Street of Rage soundtrack, Yuzo Koshiro is a god! The only CN game I've played was Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I don't know on Wii U and obviously the Dimensions levels.
You know I dont get how sometimes in some of your videos you get certain information of games or shows wrong like how you said ed edd eddy got cancelled because they ran out of people to animate the show like where did you get that from?
He only did that just because he's going with one game from each installment of the series (Protecter of Earth for the original Ben 10, Vilgax Attacks for Alien Force, Cosmic Destruction for Ultimate Alien, Omniverse 1 for what else Omniverse and Power Trip for the reboot).
I disagree, I loved KND Operation Video Game. It incorporates all the characters well, has tons of iconic weapone and set dressing, the flying sections were meh but could be a fun challenge, and the gallery had so much content! You could literally experiment playing as all the enemies and even bosses! I really liked most of the Ben 10 games. Protector of earth and Vilgax Attacks were probably my favorites. Cosmic Destruction was okay but dragged honestly. I guess I just like beat em ups because I also liked CNPTE a fair amount. It definitely isn't the best made, the physics can be weird, but it's a fun time and has a good amount of content and care. I also loved Adventure Time Hey Ice King Why'd You Steal Our Garbage. It was a fun time for me and I think it's very well made even though it's just Zelda 2. And the music slaps. It's so good. Still, it's a good video and I'm glad to see these covered. It was fun to hear your thoughts!
I actually did grow up watching all 3 channels, well not disney channel because they'd always have cringey boring live action stuff on so it was actually disney xd for me, but yeah i watched all 3 a good amount, nick was probably the one i watched the least and xd was probably the most with cn not being too far behind it this was the 2010's though so it may be a different kind of experience than you were refering i never got into adventure time all that much because it kinda gave me nightmares a couple of times but i did watch some bits of episodes here and there, like i remember the ice king's origin. and i've missed out on some others that people seem to love as well. but on each channel, my favorites were definitely ben 10, fairly odd parents, and ducktales (even though i only watched ducktales a few years in, so fairly recent)
I mean Cartoon Network’s track record with video games is very poor and cursed, they just don’t have the same level of quality as their cartoons, that’s the reason why Nickelodeon, and Disney have succeeded in the field of video games, sure, they have their fair share of bad video games, but those are few and far between, they come out with games that are really good, and very fun, because they focus on the core aspects of video gaming, Cartoon Network by comparison just doesn’t have that same approach, and they ended with so many okay, average, subpar, or bad games, much like with their track record with preschool content with the likes of Tickle U, and Cartoonito, Cartoon Network and video games don’t go together and in the end, their video games aren’t as talked about as opposed to Nickelodeon and Disney.
for starters as someone who's grown up playing licensed games myself in the 2000s. i don't like the stigma that licensed games. mainly from the 2000s. are awful games, i'd give these games a chance and if it's good. i leave it be. but if it's bad. im gonna say it's bad but yeah. i've only grew up playing the Billy And Mandy game and the Ed, Edd N Eddy game on my Gamecube in the 2000s and for licensed games. these are alright. not anything too special. but alright
Great video brother the ben10 omniverse game on console is better there's a wii u emulator homie I'm not gonna fault u dude still a great video I say some cartoonnetwork games are hit and miss
Really enjoyed the video, but I just have one criticism. You're incessant use of the word "game". It wouldn't hurt to just use "it" when talking about a specific game that you're using because we already know that you're talking about it. Seriously though, watch 5 minutes of any part of this video and pay attention to how many times you say "game" in that 5 mins. All that said though, I really enjoyed your brief trip though the Cartoon Network catalog!
@gracekim25 Kid? I guarantee I'm at least a decade older than you. 2) the info came from a reputable source, 3) that comment had major "nuh uh" vibes. Grow tf up, kid
I watched Cartoon network and Disney channel I hated nickelodeon, with the two channels also lots of shows I really did not like or enjoy at all, I was a very picky watcher.
Well I didn’t grow up with these games but I did watch a few of these shows as well as Nick and Disney Channel 😅 Please keep an eye on Spacething7474 because they’re notorious for being a tantrum throwing child in their reactions and being a annoying troll overall. Best to let everyone else they follow know because they shouldn’t be subscribed to anyone due to immaturity
