One thing I loved about the GOW games is how they manage to rewrite Greek Mythology in such a way that Kratos is responsible for things happening. For example in chains of Olympus Kratos is the one that chained Atlas' arms, forcing him to hold the world for all eternity. In the opening stage of this game kratos kills scylla and in the process sinks Atlantis.
Not just rewrite Greek Mythology but Norse Mythology as well, in GOW 2018 Mimir states that Ragnarok wasn't gonna start for about one more century, but since Kratos killed Baldur Ragnarok started early.

A lot is his fault, but what happened to Deimos and his mother was completely out of his control, there is no way he could have stopped them from being taken.
This is easily the best of the two GoW PSP games but Chains of Olympus will always hold a special place in my heart. Edit: And as for Thera, Mythy, I don't believe Thera was an actual Titan (GoW is based on Greek Mythology not grounded in Greek Mythology) but there is an actual place called Ancient Thera is Greece (now it's Santorini) which is an island in the Aegean Sea (yes, the Aegean Sea from GoW 1) which was named Thera after it's mythical ruler, Theras.
I think you would really love the combat, movement mechanics, puzzles, boss battles and over vibe of the prince of Persia series. Also same era as these games so would give me a massive shot of nostalgic. Love your stuff man x
"Thera" is the name of a volcano next to an island called "Santorini" in Greece. Santorini used to be a much bigger island some thousands years ago, but the volcano erupted and the bigger part of the island sinked. Now, there's only what was left after the eruption. It's a pretty beautiful island that you should visit one day. Btw, I've heard there's a tiny chance Thera erupts again. If that happens, the remains of Santorini may be lost too, and there are people who currently live there. Also, awesome video Myth. GoW ghost of Sparta is my favorite single player game ever. I used to play it on my psp when I was younger. Those old days were great. Note: Most people refer to the entire island when they say "Thera", not only the volcano.

This game was next level when you played it during a car ride home shortly after buying it for psp. A truly portable GoW game that is on par with the consoles was crazy for the time. And the fact that it looks this good and plays so well to this day further proves my point. Great game

Ghost of sparta is like magic. Made by same guys as chains of olympus but in just a year or two mastered psp technology to the point where the game is almost as good as the ps2 titles. Really exceptional job.
So, fun fact: Thera is an island in Aegean sea, more commonly known as Santorini. It is also known that during the time of Ancient Greece, the volcano here erupted. This island is few dozen miles away from Crete. So this game actually took a real scenario and used it here. How do I know? I played this game and few days later we talked about it in our History class, which was some hilarious timing.

suggestion for mythymoo: upgrade you blades as there is only 4 things worth upgrading, one is the blades of course and other is an ability you know you need to upgrade and then there will ba a magic item later and a new weapon. edit: mythymoo got thera's bane and it's the best ability also if you do a heavy attack after light attack (like square, square, triangle and so) it will leave a time bomb in enemy also upgrade it a lot if you can.
11:11 to 11:17 Well... this is going to be a shocker but... ... apparently ghost of Sparta came out AFTER god of war 3! Just 8 months after actually! Not even a full year! I know that sounds kinda unbelievable but... apparently that’s the truth!
Thera’s bane is my fav “rage” in the series, mainly because it’s simple, basically infinite and so damn strong. To the point I prioritise maxing it over maxing the blades.
what about doing the DMC (Devil May Cry) series, play styles are similar to God of war and I feel like Mythymoo would enjoy the extreme 3d action and the DMC series is long enough to do a DMC 5 ---->DMC----->DMC4----->DMC3----->DMC2----->DMC1 reverse order gameplay :)
I had this game in elementary and a teacher's pet type of kid saw me playing it so he told the outside watch duty lady. She took it from my PSP, read the rating, then snapped it in half in front of me and not a single person believed me. They all thought I did it. :(
Ok Mythy, one more time, this right here is the time line: 1. God of War: Ascension 2. God of War: Chains of Olympus 3. God of War 4. God of War: Ghost of Sparta 5. God of War II 6. God of War III 7. God of War (2018) However sometimes the flashbacks in the games can be from a different game, that is set before the one that the flashback is put into, like in Chains of Olympus, where you have the one how Kratos kills his family and that was in God of War 1, but it obviously happened before Ascension, which is set 6 months after the tragedy and betrayal of Ares. Edit: "Now all we're missing is the classic Sex Mini-game, that I've probably missed already".. Oh don't worry Mythy, you didn't miss it and believe me, you wouldn't want to miss this one.. XD And if you do it three times, you'll acquire the Godly Possession, Aphrodite's Ambrosia
Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta have the saddest "tear jerker" moments in the series. Day 2 of asking Mythy for Radiata Stories and Rogue Galaxy.
I've seen that you've played some old pomekon rom games. I didn't find Pokemon Clover. You'll love this game for sure. Completely new mons and everything. There is a new update of it I think
