Hey, the dog feeding interaction was just a little bug that someone (ehm ehm) added just a few days before the event, but it was fixed the very day you guys were playing the game :). The bug was disabling the chat whenever the dog got close enough you could pet him :D. Sorry! :D
My Henry was never greeted outside of skalitz like that … my Henry was always greeted with “ what’s he doing here again “ I’ve saw an ESO video where he was greeted by Bernard’s entire garrison with “GOD BE WITH YOU HENRY “ In unison My Henry was attacked by Robard’s garrison at the trebuchet, I had to reload the save 3 hours previous so I could figure out why I was so highly wanted in Talmberg 😂
KCD2 will be close but I’m positive gta 6 will be GOTY Edit: apparently everyone thinks I’m against KCD for some reason, no I don’t play gta I just think it will win GOTY based on popularity alone. Look at the views they got on RU-vid for their trailer for gta 6, nothing beats that, no matter how much I want other games to be GOTY gta sadly will remain on top unless it’s a flop.
I don't know but if KCD2 and GTA6 will release at the same time i will not even play GTA6 until i finish KCD2 at least 3-4 times. GTA6 would have to be crazy good.
@@thedarkones2226Rockstar is a massive game industry and has thousands of members while in the other hand kcd only have 250 members, but its different developer on a different game style so kcd2 is gonna be good and loved on its own way
@@iLovejapanesesouffle most definitely. I’m just saying popularity wise. I’m not the biggest gta fan but I love the hell out of kingdom come. I’m going to give this game the bloodborne treatment, thousands of hours into it
Them getting rid of stabbing actually disappoints me because it's just such a crucial move in combat. Am I supposed to get through my opponents mail armour just by hitting them hard enough or what? I don't think the combat system was too complex in the first game and even if you think so, it didn't take too long to learn.
Maybe it was too op so they lower use of that move cause everyone stabbing in first hours in KCD because its good move you can keep of you distance and its perfect when someone dont have visor on helmet but we will see maybe they do little changing during christmas
Why are you using thrust against armoured opponents anyway you’re just ruining your weapon stats ( unless you picked Rusty edge ) You should be using a mace or warhammer for armoured opponents But i also think that just mashing thrust after a knock down etc might be the reason , its an easy way to cheese your way through combat Also Roxy said and the gameplay showed multiple thrusts so its still in there but its no longer a fast Mashable button
@@SpecialOrder935 If i stop talking about game at moment trust is only thing you can use againts plate armor good trust into gaps or into helmet without visor maces are good as second option if you lose your sword cause using only mace is bad you cant block shit and carry shield is challenge since its heavy as well as the mace. You can use halfsword and bonk him with pommel but still hitting gaps is more effective.
Thrusts are now part of combos. The reason this was done was because everyone was spamming thrusts dealing massive damage and rendering the rest of the movesets almost completely obsolete.
I am currently in Kutná Hora to see the city before KCD2 drops and my god, seeing the city in the gameplay reveal was absolutely insane. So excited for February
Yeah shame they couldn’t get the 24 release but it just gives them more time to polish and refine & at least we know the date now and can adequately prepare by playing the first game through at least 5 times 😂
@@SpecialOrder935 exactly. I want them to get everything as right as it can be so let them take all the time they need. Currently doing a hardcore play through of KCD 1 so gives me plenty of time to complete that along with the DLCs
I have no intention to watch spoilers before getting the game myself. Any chance you'd make a video talking about features and game mechanics and overall feel, without spoiling any story points?
I will absolutely play KCD2, and im even more excited knowing that there is a Polish character speaking Polish. I had a laugh while the Polish character started cursing them in Polish as Im from Poland. I hope there are also other speaking characters who don't speak in English but also in German and Hungarian. In my opinion Im more hyped for KCD2 rather than GTA 6.
I already learned from KCD 2 now that polish and czech in the 15th century was so similar that they could understand each other, and yes I already heard German :D
@@dagerryThat's true, but unfortunatelly the polish character uses a lot of modern language and a lot of (like WAY too much) "kurwa" if we talk about medieval standards. I'm not sure that word was a curse back then.
@@Hevdan1 and one of the german guys I heard speaks German with a foreign accent. But in the end Germans are probably supposed to play the German localization (but I usually play in English)
The beginning choices sound like the beginning of every Bannerlord campaign, where you build your character through multiple choice questions. Similar to Fallout New Vegas too
So glad you mentioned the UI because that was the first thing I noticed watching the gameplay reveal. I really hope they don't change it. It's looks soooo damn good! They basically just took it from the 1st game, but made it look prettier. Familiar, but updated seems to be this whole game and I'm so excited!
In medieval Bohemia (next to todays Germany) were MANY germans. Actually they were biggest minority there.. don't worry, there will be czechs, poles etc.
I watched my younger brother play the first game & I'm just a very casual gamer, but it looked so immersive that it hooked me & I spent hours playing it. I can't wait for this.
The little rabbit in the UI is a reference to the fact that drawings of rabbits in fanciful situations like sword fighting are often found in the margins of medieval illuminated manuscripts. Snails as well. Nobody's sure why. It may just have been a sort of medieval meme.
I would assume it's because of the comical dichotomy between the two, as far as speed and agility go. That is probably pretty obvious, though 😅 Maybe a type of Western European "tortoise and hare" fable. Interesting
0:50 The fact that this carpet model has ben used in so many games and continuous to be used after all those years is quite amazing.(Mafia, bannerlord) 0:54
I think it has the potential to be if it gets marketed more a lot more people would like it if they only knew about it maybe if they put it on Xbox gamepass after a few months and whatever PlayStation with memberships get ,
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - after 500 hours (I relize people have ten times that XD) in KCD 1, I can not wait. the first is a top 5 game for me alongside cyberpunk, witcher 3, rdr2 and TLOU
I'm surprised Sir Tobi allowed you to mention the G. I'm not even sure that was revealed in trailers. I think we all expected an appearance, just not how or when. Fair play you gave a warning, and I don't care that much, but I am surprised that wasn't embargoed.
Literally the only game I’m excited about as an RPG fan... Don’t care about GTA 6 or Assassins Creed ESPECIALLY... don’t care about whatever else is coming... This is what makes me feel like a kid on Christmas morning.
Thank you for the awesome content over the years. I'm very curious about one thing. One of my favorite aspects of KCD was the zero to hero journey, and the grind for skills. How does KCD2 compare? Any comments about skills and leveling? Like, is Henry already "strong"? Need for grinding? Sence of urgency to get stronger? Do skill leveling feel rewarding?
It stands to reason that no matter how tough Henry was when fighting bandits, he’s now fighting more well trained professional warriors. So it makes sense he’s gotta grind and level up, especially after brutal injuries.
Little touches like the Rabbit, reminds me of the marginal artwork on manuscripts, the sill fighting with silly looking critters...... wonderful little touch.
The draw distances in this game are amazing I really hope that if you can see it that far you can travel to it! Ive never seen draw distances like this before in any game
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 1, the animation of NPCs getting hit by arrows feels more realistic, whereas in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, it looks like the characters' arms have to stretch out first before reacting.
Great content as always Roxy. I will be intrigued to see how Father Godwin ties into this story because there wasn't any indication at the end of kcd that he was going to be joining Henry and Hans later on. Really can't wait for this game!
Is recurve and longbows playable again? Can I create a stealth Bow build again? Do Bows have a crosshair? Im not a fans of crossbows. Also, Do Hoods actually work?
I think it's a reference to medieval art and pictures. There is one pretty well known picture of rabbit shooting a bow or rabbits riding horses and jousting each other. That was my first thought.
Seeing this is kind of crazy, everything looks really fluid and I could see more animations and much other stuff but at the same time I can see why it got delayed, there are some slight places that need polishing and also in the gameplay reveal had a bit of bad quality voices but im sure it will be fine and im assuming thats why they delayed it but anyway its still a few months until the release so yeah its gonna be just fine, I already pre-ordered and its my first pre-order so I hope it was a good idea, I also got the gold edition because they said theres gonna be 3 expansions that I will get so I cannot wait!:)
Regarding the sword: A sword back then to a man at arms was EVERYTHING. It was the symbol of recognition and authority a lord placed in him, as well as obviously being the tool they used to survive. Henry being hyper-focused on his sword while injured makes ABSOLUTE sense.
@@rob2257 It looks like the only thing they did was turn the 2 low attacks into a singular low attack, which makes sense because it was often very difficult to tell if your opponent was in a high guard or a low guard depending on which side their sword was on.
I can't wait for this game bro! I loved your video 😮 thanks so much for sharing.. I'm currently still playing kingdom come 1.. just rebuilt my own city as baylif and all searching for the people who killed my parents. I've been sleeping with many woman in the baths and other woman.. Teresa is mad at me lol.. accidently stabbed mutt many times in battle so I'm sorry to him. Can't wait to get the new game and kill more and pillage villages wooo let's go
really looking forward for any changes in combat. In KCD you could basically master strike your way out of every fight. What's worse, you got master stroken every time you attempted to pull a combo. There was a mod that made you mirror the opponent's pose in order to master strike but it made the duels last forever. If you were lucky and weren't fighting 3 dudes at the same time, you got like a minute of perfect blocks before landing a single hit. Still, there's no other game like KCD, we're all gonna love it
Love the video @SxyBiscuit! Thank you for all you've done for the KCD series! One question, you mention "master parries" being in the game... are there still "master strikes" as well?
Thank you for the spoiler alert at the beginning of the video 🙌. After seeing that, I paused the video and started reading through the comments, I'm convinced to pass on this video for now. It's too early, I don't want so spoil my experience later on. I'll save this video for later though! 👏
I KNEW IT! I KNEW WE WERE GOING TO PLAY AS FATHER GODWIN! Sorry... Just too hyped up that a theory I have had for a hot minute has become reality. I love father Godwin, best quest in the first game 100%. So wholesome. KCDII computers? Say less... I need a new rig for this, it looks visually stunning and I doubt it will run on my 4790k which turned 10 years old last month. I can't wait for the system requirements. I too wonder what those rigs at the presser were running if there were no frame-drops. I'm going to have to get to the same level of performance. So exited for it all. Just finished a deep dive on the gameplay showcase they did. I got nothing but good things. (ok, I did complain about the little guy on the map, but that is one thing that doesn't detract from the overall awe I felt watching and sifting through all that footage). Thanks for sharing Rox!
Everything about it is great! The only minor thing was that the health UI is so in your face and not off to the side. It's also kind of large. I like little hud as possible but that's just me. But- this video also shows details you couldn't seen before. Which are a nice touch.
If I'm not mistaken, the first game had the same five angles, they just changed the direction indicator texture and removed the stab dot in the middle. I'm intrigued to see how the combat handles and exactly which maneuver you need to do to pull off a stab. The biggest functional combat difference I can see in the footage here seems to be that it's a bit more polished and it recognizes the control input a little bit better. Obviously though, I also didn't play the game, so I haven't actually felt the controls in real time.
1. Is there any blood and gore? 2. Does the armor actually work like real armor? Meaning that you're basically invincible wearing full plate, mail and padding.
1. Just watch the gameplay in this video and you'll see the blood effects 2. Real life armour does not make you "invincible" and nor does it in the game, because that would be ridiculously OP
Excited about the game. Still have some questions. is there customization available for Henry's hair and beard? Do bath houses still fade to black? Also, they scaled back the nudity to partial nudity from KCD1.
About NPCs, RDR2 is the best in this category and Betheshda games (Skyrim comes first to mind) always had lazy/funny schedules ... you would enter a room/building/shop and suddenly a bunch of NPCs would scramble here and there like they were conspiring all together huddled in a corner and now that you enter they are pretending to work 🤣Would love to see how Warhorse improved on NPC schedule in KCD 2.
I don't mind either the picking animation OR how long it takes. I really don't like the switch to 3rd person, however, and 1st person herb picking is one of my essential KCD 1 mods.
I have an important question about accessibility. I had a problem with the first kingdom come concerning motion sickness. I was unable to turn off the headbopping as well as increasing FoV. Can u confirm if the game has those options available?
Roxy, were you able to ask about performance on consoles? If so, can we expect a 30 fps 4k graphics mode and 60 fps 1440p performance mode for XSX and PS5?
The game looks amazing ! 😍 Thank you for your video ! Would you know pc requirements, or when they will be released ? I'm afraid my computer won't hold up.
I don't understand why it switches to third person. In the first game, when you pick up weapons from the ground. you stay in first person, but with herbs, you switch to third person. It just seems unnecessary to cut to a different camera for like 2 seconds every time.
I'm glad to hear it as I really looked forward to the sequel. Have non sword weapons been given some love? Other weapons (especially polearms!) being so limited was one of the main issues for me. What about grappling/anti armour moves (mordschlag, targeting the joints in half sword...)?
