honestly mercy is easy to pick up but very hard to master, also if your teammates are bad there is almost nothing you can do to turn it around and win, so it’s also very hard to rank up with her.

Honestly I’ve got 500 hours on her (been playing since like 2016) and genuinely the best thing to do is to not go for stupid rezzes lmao. Stop chasing dumb people and stop chasing stupid rezzes and your deaths will drop really fast. I peaked a game from GM solo queuing mostly Mercy and some Ana back season 17 in OW1 and it is hellacious playing her alone but it’s satisfying. I’m Diamond 3 after taking a huge break and have a 65% winrate so I’m thinking I’ll get back up to maybe low masters which was where I was when I quit playing OW1. Mercy is extremely team dependent. If your team sucks, Mercy will literally never be able to win by making plays. She only enables decent players to be better. If they’re awful to begin with, they won’t be good with damage boost lol. This is why it’s wild af to me that people want Mercy in low ranks because she’s actual garbage down there. mL7 did a video on how hard it was to climb with the different supports and he found Mercy was by far the hardest one because of how useless you are if you get the wrong teammates lol

Perfectly encapsulated the mercy experience, personally what has always held me back in ranking up is solo Q’ing because as you stated in this video, its fucking hard and whenever i played with a team it was 9/10 times easy to rank up, best advice i can give as a mercy main is if you wanna learn her good then solo Q, but if you want to rank up then get a team

Any decent Mercy players I think have their effectiveness scale based on how good their teammates are at keeping her alive because honest to whatever holy being you believe in, every other DPS will go after you and your entire extended family when you play Mercy, they see her and got neuron activation of easy pickings

Fun fact: if yourw healing someone like a soldier and they tac visor but theyre taking aggro, you can kinda spam alternate between damage boost and healing. Lose value to either but gain equal value to the other

That's right Pistol Mercy is a high quality damage hero to use and I recommend using it against anybody because it just totally flabbergasts any mf who doesn't understand that I'm a squishy right up in their face
