I only got the one Cryogonal shiny too when I really wanted Snorunt, so I feel you on this event's grind. I did, however, finally hit level 40 after all these years, and it was partially your content that motivated me to get that last 5 million done. Thanks a bunch dude, I know things are rough for the game right now but it's people like you that make it fun to be a part of.

Was a tough event for me to get thru bc I had to work and grind on my breaks. I also paid for the timed research so had to do everything twice. I finished at 7:56 pm. Just in time! Ended up with 3 shinies, 2 98%ers, 2 XXL (which I won with on both stops). 1 shiny Snorunt. No hundos. It was stressful but the grind was fun!

Congrats on the hundo! These are my favorite type of events: every field research being encounters, new shiny release, and extended time for the event. I would love to see Niantic do more of these even if it was a pokemon that they've already released the shiny for.

I ended up getting all 3 shines: Snorunt, Cryogonal, & Bergmite. The shines were definitely boosted because I usually never get shines during these events. It was a fun event. I really wanted a hundo Snorunt for the mega. :(

I bought the timed research, but ended up getting the shiny on the 3rd task on the free one and another shiny on the 7th task. Also on the free one. I ended up with a 98% as well. I was hunting Snorunt, but had no luck. I ended up jumping into a Shadow Zapdos raid and got the shiny of that. Horrible IV’s though. Then I did a shiny swap with a random person at the park. All in all, Sunday was a good day for me.

MYSTIC7, Brandon, odds for encountering Shiny Cryogonal are in the 1.5% - 2% range... so it's EXTREMELY rare!

The best part of the event was 2 shiny Bergmite. I got nothing else. 1/64 isn't a good enough rate for a single day event. 😮‍💨

Zero is the answer to how many shinies I got from the event. 156 Cryo encounters total. No Snorunt or Bergmite either. But hey, Im used to getting screwed by Niantic at this point...

I also got one shiny and one hundo from close to the same amount of research. But I did really well with wild spawns, I also got: 2 shiny Bergmite, 2 shiny Snorunt, a random shiny Patrat, and a shiny Zekrom from my first ever Zekrom raid!

Dude, I did the $2 research, completed all of it for 1 hundo. I got one shiny from field research, not even the 80 encounters from the event. My dog, no ticket, got 2 shiny and 1 98%. I don't think they remembered to turn on the boosted shiny odds again cause no one got bergmite or snorunt.

Shiny rates were horrible. Definitely not 1 in 64. Some people who bought research and did field research tasks managed to not get a single shiny.

I got no shinies or hundos out of the 80 encounters, but i did get 3 98%ivs and 1 XXL that got me 2nd in a showcase out of 40 people so that's not too bad. No shiny snorunt or bergmite either..

For some reason I thought this event was like 3 days, but LUCKILY I had to go out to sign some gun paperwork, and realized this was happening. Had a STRESSFUL hour and a half in the pouring dark rain, and got 1 Cryoginal and 1 Bergmite!

I got my shiny cryogonal like 30 minutes before the event ended. I was trying for a shiny bergmite and was tired after spending the whole day hunting it and no shiny bergmite found 😢.

I got 3 shinies from Timed R. But 85 Field tasks = no shiny. 3 98%, no hundos. :( Friends also got 2-3 shinies from Timed R only. One friend got 3 hundos. Caught over 100 each of Snorunt and Bergmite = 1 shiny Bergmite. Was a fun day, and seemed like most everyone got at least 1 shiny Cryogonal. I wish Niantic did more Research days like this. :)

I caught 120 of Cryogonal and got 1 shiny. Caught almost 500 combined of the other ice types that were “boosted” and caught zero shinies. Did get a perfect PvP IV of Froslass though so that was nice! But yeah, other than XP grinding, it was a very underwhelming event. My wife though got a HUNDO and shiny from the research so she matched you. I got like 4 at 98% and kept 1 and my lone shiny.

I actually popped off this Cryogonal event and got 2 XXLs, 3 shinies, and 2 hundos (none of those traits matched up together, but oh well) as well as 2 shiny Bergmites! The only thing I missed was shiny Snorunt which is a shame, but overall I call that a good day~

I got 2 shinies from misclicks that are unrelated to the event, numel and scraggy. I got a shiny bergmite back to back with the numel, and one shiny snorunt when I got home that was unfortunately male so no froslass. My mom who also plays got a hundo cryogonal.
