When he said “ at least you guys are mechanically on par” was the best timed joke Ive heard in the hundreds of hours of wirtual I’ve watched. So funny.
Wirtual is honestly awesome, he's what got me into trackmania and I love it so much. My wish is for him to one day play the tracks I have made and tell me what he thinks. :)
I mean there are probably more than this but here in Germany there is a City called Bamberg which has 70 Brewerys and alot of em are in the City Center You can get a Beer Bachelors Degree there when you go to 10 Brewerys and drink a half litre beer in every one of them
I get that they hide the author times to make sure that novice to moderate players don't have damn near impossible goals dangled in front of them (at least, I assume that's why they're hidden). I'm a bang average player and I'll get maybe five to ten author times in a season and just about every gold. I don't expect to be getting any better than that any time soon. But I think it would be nice to have the author times available. (I'm on PS5 - no plugins for me.) I think a neat way to do it would be to hide them until the player has achieved, say, five author medals, by which point they've shown that they're capable of attaining them, and then unlock an option to show the times (maybe the ghost as well) to allow you to challenge yourself for them more easily. That way, players who'd be demotivated by seeing unattainable times would still not have to know they even exist, and other players, who know what they are and can beat them occasionally, could see them if they wished.
+1 as a newcomer just by hiding author medals it immediately doesn't feel like "I have to reach that level cuz its hidden/optional" and it feels ok not getting those medals and not feeling the same frustration when i'm only able to obtain silver.
Finally unlocked the black maps this spring in my fourth season. Thanks for the advice and the supportive content. Wouldn’t have gotten every gold medal this season without your videos.
lmao and for me this is the first time it's taken me this long, I'm struggling to even get silver on one or two of the rally car maps, I'm chilling on the normal maps but this is the first time I've really needed to learn action keys and it's fuckin me up.
Wirtual. I have to say i just bought club access for the first time today because of you. Thank you for showing me this game with all your awesome content. See you on the leaderboards ‘oneday’
dont know where jnic drinks, but at guldhornene in Aalborg in denmark, its 5 liters (10 large beers) you get a serving of popcorn too, and for a smaller extra fee, you get to become a knight by drinking sommersby (cider) and repeats can make you ribber of 1,2,3 degree and so on, like a upgrade, we usually play dice while doing it, and the looser gets to spin a wheel, and we usually get some free gold beers, or sambuca shots.
I think JNic is talking about the Aalborg division as well. Maybe he confused the 0.4L vs 0.5L draft beers? Because we have a similar setup in Odense at Viggos with 5L where you get your own glass in the restaurant, engraved with all the dates you've completed it.
i wonder if i had any part in that felix magnus video, i recommended it to him around 4 months ago on a norweigan video with less than 3k views (he was in the video and had commented on it)
magnus mitdbo reference spotted in the wild followed that guy like seven years ago when it was less than 100k views. His video he did where the routesetters for the norwegian national competition asked him to test the route and he flashed it is insane.
I used to play this game so much just for ranked casually and im so sad now because I have no interest or really possibility to play any snow/dirt car tracks with keyboard. Also snow/dirt physics are just way less interesting or fun to play than stadium car, its just like just forcefully added in annoying part to the game where in every map that they are in the best strat is to try to skip them by any means necessary. I am totally not interested to swap into controller because this was my fun keyboard game, I am 100% im not the only one who quited because this. couldnt play it anymore at all for last few seasons. There definitely should be different ranked for stadium car and all other cars should just be excessive content u can access with paying or whatever. Just make it separate from main game for the sake.
that's how I felt when they added Stadium Car, a car completely out of line with all other TM cars until then. I am happy they are going back on their poor decision and hopefully the campaign will be fully Snow/Rally/Desert in two seasons, as it should be.
Where are you that has 1L bottles? Even wine bottles are "only" 700mL, normally beer bottles here are 330mL, and draft beers are 500mL. The challenge is actually 5L, since it's 10 draft beers in one visit, and it's just a publicity thing to get people in earlier in the bar.
"And then you're gonna hop into a game and have to take it super serious" This is the problem. You don't *have* to take it seriously. Your elo doesn't matter. It's just a number used to match you against similarly skilled opponents. Unless you want to try to push it up, you don't have to. You also don't have to play any kind of ranked at all if you don't want to, but I personally feel like a lot of people overthink this stuff. It's just a game. If you just want to chill then chill. Mute angry teammates. Anyone blaming their team for their own rank is an idiot, just ignore them.
Jnic is a bit off. Ranked is usually just an indicator of hours sunk into it. Because almost all games you can climb in by just *grinding* and dealing with the losses. I've seen high rank players that *suck* in many games. And they have a massive ego because of the rank, and get stomped even by unranked players like myself. Rocket League is hilarious for it because high rank is SO EASY to get in RL
@@jjjttt227 well mudda and Carl kinda put the hours in as well for quite some years. I mean I don't think there's a lot of players who just skyrocketed to the top 0.1% without putting the hours and effort in
5:07 buy a controller with hall-effect joysticks then. Better to spend a little more money once and get something that lasts (and objectively performs better with less deadzones) instead of buying new controllers constantly.
Simetimes, people just want to pass the time by playing some games with their minds shut-off. Unfortunately, some people do so in ranked team matches too, thus the rise of the braindead issue lol.
Jnic: " you don't have to buy a new controller once it starts drifting", I mean, its pretty much a skill issue, I've played with a controller with drift for one year and i can still play trackmania, celeste mod, elden ring,...
ideally you get a controller with hall effect joysticks, supposedly takes a lot longer to develop drift (i play exclusively on keyboard so i wouldnt have personal experience, but science backs it up)
Sorry, did this guy unironically used "skill issue"? And also felt a need to somehow explain his own small mess-up? Holy shit, this is sad. I hope he finds peace with himself and his parents. This is so sad.
I think the matches in TM could be made better by having a casual mode with skill based match making similar to games like COD alongside the ranked mode with the Elo based matchmaking, it could make it more enjoyable for less experienced players who aren’t looking to play as competitively but still want to play against other people
FFA ranked would definitely help me give it a shot. The idea of ruining the experience of team mates, even if they're random people, is just abhorrent to me.
I don't play ranked modes very often because I'm old and I've already spent way too many hours of my life being brought down by the fact that a huge portion of online communities are toxic af during ranked competition, both enemies and allies
