You actually can change the island name. I just did it today on my current save. You do it in the Town Hall.

Honestly I just think they are waiting to port it to the next console (Hopefully as a launch title) instead of porting it now there's no way a port would take 7 Years XD

Tomodachi Life is one of the only games I played using emulators, since I won’t afford a 3DS and a copy of the game, costing me over a hundred bucks.

I still play the game now its very fun, I first found out about tomodachi life because of the apartment map on super smash bros on my 3ds back in 2014 I would love to play it on the switch.

Really hoping maybe the Switch Pro or whatever it’s called will have a port of Tomodachi Life port
