Never turn down an offer of tea when in Saudi. My friend there explained it to me like this: You drink one cup - We can do business You drink two cups - We are now friends You drink three cups - Now I have to offer you one of my daughters for marriage 😂 And if you’re not used to Arab tea… it’s about as gross as Sage, Mint and Parsley combined, sounds 😇

No it is not a saying but he is using it as an analogy, meaning your liver is strong if you can drink tea in the morning.

Actually his side is true google it The story of tea begins in China. According to legend, in 2737 BC, the Chinese emperor Shen Nung was sitting beneath a tree while his servant boiled drinking water, when some leaves from the tree blew into the water. ... The tree was a Camellia sinensis, and the resulting drink was what we now call tea.

@randomletters3835

@@nooraqueen2716 Jazakumullah! You made me go dig into it. Turns out what he mentioned is a popular legend but people first started to drink it in Yunnan (in China) for medicinal purposes or first in Sichuan (China) as an energising drink. This is all according to Wikipedia 🤷 I just thought to research more because legends are usually just legends!
