It's funny but stepping back, the idea of someone dictating trolling as a form of real life comedy is a weird concept to get behind. There's an instinct to think it's a bad precedent.

And I quickly saw John Oliver... so I'm gonna take a wild swing and say OP isn't a right winger... and that's why I was personally talking more generally... I agree with you on a more general sense however. Vast majority of people who would say something like this would do exactly what you described imo...
