I've seen plenty of album reviews and I've heard this album on repeat so many times by now, and every single time I have the same thought: this album holds a special place in my heart because it hits so close to home. The lyrics describe every single emotion that I've gone through, the highs and lows, moments where I feel nothing short of unstoppable, to the rock bottoms. And it's amazing how close to home it hits. I love how you're so up front about the review and that you're okay being vulnerable.
I've been struggling with depression and anxiety for the entire time I've been on this earth. This album was extremely relatable to me. I got to say I've always been a fighter but I'm getting weaker because I keep fighting depression over and over again. I just lose all that power to fight every time I get depressed. I'm honestly really struggling right now I got very little urge to fight it. People keep telling me to see a therapist which I've been doing since I was about 9. Nothing has helped not any medication I've been on a whole bunch of anti depressants breathing doesn't work either. I've been in my bed 24 hours a day cause that's the only that gets me away from hurting myself. When I'm awake I can't really trust myself. I loved your video though. I just subcribed.

you should watch the music video for hurricane, gives some insight, but basically i believe that 'Goodbye' is about Erics best friend who took his own life while I Prevail was on tour in 2016. hardest song to listen to on the album honestly
Ive been listening to them before they blew up and they have been in my top favorites, they have definitely helped many people including me through tough times
This album is very touching for people with severe depression. For some with depression, they can't put into words how they are feeling, and these songs do that. I even told my psychologist the lyrics for Hurricane, Paranoid and Let Me Be Sad, and how they are perfect descriptions of how I was feeling at the time even though I couldn't put it into words, these songs did it for me, I heard them and realised "This, this is how I'm feeling." And once I and my psychologist understood how I was feeling, we could work on it and figure out how to help me. I owe I Prevail so much, without these songs, I may not be here because I could properly get help.

I just found your channel now from a random recommendation from RU-vid, and for once it didn't point me in the wrong direction. The raw emotion you put forth is gripping, and between that and the music itself, resonates rather close to home with myself currently. I don't know what you're going through in your personal life, but I can tell you you're not alone with the struggle. And you've gained another sub.
This is a great video. I personally think this album is 10/10 maybe that's just cause I can connect to the songs. Songs like everytime you leave, paranoid, let me be sad. Songs like that and really all the songs on this album. I suffer from depression and anxiety and honestly this album has helped a lot!!!
Goodbye is about one of Eric's friends. To really understand their struggle over the past few years you have to watch the new Hurricane music video they put out. Also watch the video they made for breaking down. It is the most personal album I've ever listened to and I love it. I'm new to the channel my first video I've seen is this one and I like how real it was. Don't be ashamed of how you feel, I can personally vouch that i felt the same way listening to the album and that I struggle with terrible mental illness myself. Hang in there!

I hope whatever you were going through, that you got past it. This band is amazing and I credit them with saving my life. Right around the time Lifelines came out I was in a really bad place, where I always felt alone and unwanted. That album 100% made me feel like I could get through anything and gave me just enough will to keep going. It's amazing what meaningful, relatable lyrics can do for somebody's metal state.

Super late to seeing this reaction, but I loved it! I Prevail is my favorite band and this new album really solidified that fact. So much emotion in their songs. This reaction video just made me subscribe after randomly clicking on it while scrolling through youtube.

I was in the front row during the whole show when they played live. Definitely an experience to remember. Also getting to meet them with the VIP pass was memorable...theyre so down to earth and genuine people.

Eric’s friend, if I remember correctly, committed suicide. I Prevail was touring at the time. I can’t even truly imagine what he went through or how he felt when he was told about it. Goodbye gives us an look into what he felt.
Much like yourself i found I Prevail from their Lifelines album and not only did it resonate with me so much, it highlighted aspects of my life i was and still am struggling through. Songs like Scars (my favorite) or Alone and Lifelines itself, stellar tracks, story, personal experience etc I just love this bands ability to do both heavy metal and softer stuff, showing the raw emotions, tangent aside, really liked your review of the album!

I can say just have seeing them live here in Phoenix!!!! There’s new song live are badass Gasoline,BowDown, Hurricane, breaking down, Paranoid, and rise above it along with Scars and stuck in my head and of course with Come and get best concert I’ve been to in years wish I could catch another date from the Trama tour me and gf and our friends badass blast these song helped heal me that night!! These guys were like medicine!!
