@@MrandMrsLivingLife he probably just throws away the single socks like I do unless they are a plain colour and can be matched with another single sock of the same colour
I did the QR code on my Resume/CV that led to an online google doc of the document and a video. It landed me a job for Dell been there going on 7 years.
So I just graduated from college in May with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. I've been trying to find a job the traditional way by applying online, but no luck. This inspired me. I'm going to try some more creative things and see what happens!
@@splorgify Honestly though, I just started my Master's in Space Systems Design, so if I could get my hands on a 3D printer, making some kind of prototype would be pretty epic! Haha :)
To anyone who is struggling with their CV - my partner specializes in 1 on 1 CV mentoring, particularly towards new grads looking for a graduate position and the like. You’d be amazed at how a bit of of CV knowledge can completely change your job prospects. Let me know and I can get you in touch
@@BrunoNeureiter imagine reading a book where the full first chapter was basically saying the same thing just in a different way. I had this problem too, so I just removed all but my most recent three roles. More is less in the world of CVs, you gotta impress them as quick as possible
true, great effort and idea. but most likely they did first check his socials and realised he's getting a lot of traction plus he already has a lot of the skills required which made it much easier to actually offer him the job. the way he endorsed himself was the last number on the winning ticket. well done!
I've heard a story of someone who has printed their CV on a cake. They didn't get the job. But some time down the road the company was looking for new employees for another position. Someone remembered the CV cake and invited them to an interview 🙂
Talented, Brilliant, Incredible, Amazing, Showstopping, Spectacular, Never The Same, Totally Unique, Completely Not Ever Been Done Before.... MAX MY LOVE YOU HAVE SMASHED IT
@@michael8815 lol ok? What it‘s a one-woman show? And as a recruiter you can still share opinions and suggest someone, most hiring managers trust your expertise; but sure if you say so 😅
You should have done it on a Citroen instead of a Volkswagen, also, put your CV on the hood of the car as well as the roof, that way, you could say your car is a Citroen 2CV.
Max the epitomy (is that how u spell it) of pure british down-to-earthness but also incredible ingenuity and innovation. A real national treasure this maximus is turning out to be 🙏
It depends on the car's windscreen, if it is of low quality it will cause reflections so you will see a bright spot which is distracting. Another is that bright interiors cause your pupils to contract which makes it harder to see outside. But i think nowadays it have been mostly solved with better glass coatings and well lit streets.
Best part is when you see everyone parking on double yellow lines then you park your lorry on an industrial estate from 21:00 to 6:00, go to sleep and wake up with a wheel clamp! 🥴
I always thought single was you 'can stop for a bit', and double meant you cannot park there at all... but then there are also single and double red lines, which I'm pretty sure are 'do not park sometimes', and 'do not park ever ever ever' respectively..... sooo what is the difference? Are red lines basically the same as yellows, but angrier??
@@bofranciscofilms Yellow means no parking or waiting, red means no stopping at all. So on yellows, you can load and unload passengers, whereas on red you can't. For both colours, 2 lines means at all times, 1 line means at specified times (which will be listed on signs along the pavement)
@@bofranciscofilms single yellow means you can park on it some of the time. Usually there’s a sign that tells you the allowed hours. Double yellow is no parking but you can stop. Red lines are only on clear ways where you can’t stop at all if it’s double and u can only unload offload if it’s single
As a graphic designer I would structure the CV differently so that it's more visible and readable but still I love the effort you put in and I believe that it will get back to you one way or another! 🍀👏
I hope this goes somewhere because you really, really deserve it. Your videos are always so well done and creative. A breath of fresh air on the RU-vid landscape. Good on you :)
Well done on achieving this mate. One question, do you think ultimately you secured this because of your current platform and the exposure ? I'm just saying let's say for an average Joe with no platform or notierty would this method still have the same success. I really think its a great idea, very out of the box. Companies love initiative and effort.
I tried as hard as I could Mason so that my current platform had nothing to do with it and make as easy as possible for anyone else to do the same thing. I used twitter where I had 6,000 followers for the initial tweet. Yes, sure it may have helped the tweet go viral but the 6,000 followers wasn’t the only reason for the tweet to get 30,000 likes and thus publicity. Actually the best thing that happened was getting the car physically there. The amount of employees that stopped and took a photo with the car was mad. That’s what ultimately helped get the idea over the line. So to answer your question. I think that 97% of the result was because of the idea and maybe 3% due to my platform but hopefully it has inspired you to try and do the same. Watch Yes Theory’s video about getting a subscriber of there’s their dream job. Really great vid
this is actually amazing. a few years ago I was diagnosed with a chronic condition, and have been aiming to write a novel ever since. I now know how I'm going to capture publisher attentions! thank you 💖
pretty sure the whole "don't turn the light on" is due to driving in darker surroundings - such as a rural highway or something similar, where there isn't a lot of artificial lights outside. In those circumstances, I think the reflection of the light on the inside of the windows really does make it harder to see out.
I am watching this almost 1 year later, and I cannot believe how much you have grown! Anyway, my mum's friend (and yes, I'm British too), used to work at the BBC - (she is retired now.) She was a studio manager at a studio in the UK. I was on the Phone with her, and she said that it was a very long time ago, almost 30-40 years ago. I just wanted to mention it. Thanks Love your vids Harry
@@TheMarizzca uhm definitely did mate 😂 dunno what to tell you, was a bunch of comments at time too so I wasn't alone. I even accidently clicked off and tried to go his videos and wasn't there, then I just went back on browser & it came back up and it had unlisted underneath. Literally don't know why I'd lie about that. I'm a 30 year old man watching RU-vid videos.
Did you get the job? I just discovered you from Josh & Ollie over at KoreanEnglishman and saw the Welcome to Luton video, you're hilarious and I am so happy to be a new subscriber. Hugs from, Chicago.
Max makes the most outlandish and unique videos that you couldn't possibly mistake them for anyone elses video. They're almost guaranteed to do well on the RU-vid algorithms because even the title peaks your interest. And the best thing is, no one else can replicate these videos without giving credit to you for the original idea, or else they'll be branded as a ripoff. Genius.
This is a brilliant video! Some of my best mates are part of the 2020 Christmas presenters line-up for R1! It is also my dream to become a radio presenter for Radio 1! This video shows me it is possible with a bit of forward thinking!
actually so inspiring! - favourite bit was ' you should actually follow the socials of the station that you want to work for' haha - love it - good on you mate!
8:12 my dad would always yell at me when I'd turn on the light in the car as well! Maybe... I'm not sure about this and I'm no scientist or anything, but back in the day when our parents were growing up I think they used different glass in vehicle windows. Nowadays, it's like safety glass that shatters into a million pieces, and the windshield does the same thing, but has a coating to keep it all in one piece. I'm not sure when they started doing this but I know my buddy crashed his 58 Lincoln and the glass basically broke into shards, like a house window. Maybe the glass that they used in the past would reflect the interior light and glare more. It also might have something to do with incandescent bulbs vs. the new LED's. I know it's not the main part of the video, but I've always wondered the same thing. I just found your channel and I love it! Doing things that a normal person would never do, pushing the boundaries, thinking outside of the box! Thanks for doing great work! I just subscribed!
8:11 Because it wrecks your night vision. Ever try looking outside at night with your light on? You can't see anything because of the reflections of your light on the window, and your lack of night vision. And then when the light goes out, it takes a few mins for your eyes to adjust to the dark again. Turning the light on in the car at night is extremely dangerous as you'll lost a vast majority of your view of the road.
Just realised how few subs you have for how good your videos are, I’m quite new to the channel but I’ve watched so many videos already and just thought now to look at subs, i was expecting tens of millions, you deserved that
Yes, here in Britain resume only means to continue something. The CV (Curriculum Vitae) is what we call a bit of paper with some words designed to get you a job.
With some older vehicles, it’ll run your battery out if you leave the internal lights on. I imagine kids aren’t allowed to turn them on because they won’t remember to turn them back off, their parents won’t remember to check that they’re off, and then they’ll have a *problem* in the morning.
