As a born critique, I say it as I see it. And on this very issue of Daddy Lumba and Ofori Amponsah, Ofori played like a Roman Fool and he would one day fall on his own sword. I was sad the Great Ampong took the NSEM FŌN Song on himself but I think that song is and/was a *SILVER BULLET* meant for Ofori Amponsah. But it could also be the proverbial killing two or many birds with one stone. But until Ampong came out, their story was dead and all the maggots in the skeletons themselves dead. But hey, Daddy Lumba is *GOOD NEWS*, no matter how it is told, be it good or bad. The Great Ampong has revived his career and he’s everywhere now because of his beef with Daddy Lumba. Must I say, I don’t buy every song easily at the App Store but bought his *ONYAME AKATUA* which was similar to the NSEM FŌN in beats. To buttress what I wanna write about, I just listened to Bob Marley’s *NO WOMAN NO CRY*. But before listening, I first listened to Jimmy Cliff’s version. Totally different and his silky voice was at its best. I am a big fan of Jimmy Cliff you know,( I greatly detest weed). And Ofori Amponsah needed to know that Jimmy Cliff and Bob Marley are/were competitors. But Jimmy Cliff added the song to one of his albums and it was well sang. Dolly Parton wrote and sang *I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU*, but most people think the song was Whitney Houston’s. Though I love Aunty Dolly’s voice and version, Whitney owns the song because it was made a soundtrack to a Film in which Whitney starred. Dolly said, *I rack up my Royalties*. Ofori Amponsah should learn from the Masters. Many Great Musicians have being exploited by their Managers but eventually they gained their freedom. And with most women, they paid by being Partners to their Managers or wives. Tina Turner and Diana Ross are notable examples. One song which gives me very mixed feelings, *UNCHAINED MELODY*, for sentimental reasons, has been song and recorded by more than 80 different singers after the Righteous Brothers. Ofori Amponsah should bow down his head in shame over those foolish comments about Daddy Lumba. I love his Damabi and until recently I thought it was for Daddy. Ofori must know that had he NOT come into being through Daddy Lumba, he would have crawled for about 10 years or more before he knew how to walk. Glories he must give to Daddy Lumba and NOT derogatoriness. *NIPA SE AYEYI A ….*. I think Ofori must send a very high powered delegation to apologise to Daddy Lumba. Sometimes I hear some musicians say some silly things about Spiritism. And Ofori is one of them. That’s absolute *RUBBISH*. Everything has something spiritual about it in nature. Lionel Richie write his part of the famous Duet with Kenny Rogers in a toilet when his best was under pressure. What would you then say about those who made the guitar or piano? Kenny Rogers wrote one of my favourite songs, *SWEET MUSIC MAN* on a flight. Some people are perfectionists and waste time on a song, forgetting there’s ONLY one person who’s perfect, and that’s GOD. One such person was, Neil Diamond, I understood he took a long time writing this lovely song, *I AM I SAID*. I love his genre of Music. Being a lover boy, I love Daddy Lumba’s style of Music but I love songs which are Poetic in or by their nature and Blues. Ofori thinks he must always have the preeminence at all times. Life doesn’t do that. Some have done great music but never attained fame. I only know 1/2 songs by Shatta Wale but look oooo, he calls himself a STAR and he has great following. I have always asked myself why Ofori left the Ministry? He thought overnight he would be a Duncan Williams, Dag Heward-Mills, Agyin-Asare, Otabil etc etc. And let me state categorically here, God still reveals himself to man but Prophecy in the New Testament means: Edification, Exhortation and Comfort. *1Cor 14 v 3.* Ofori must know that God cannot be mocked. We are still awaiting for a Daddy Lumba Style song from him though in the likeness of Damabi but with little or no nudity like in his Damabi video. But if Ofori would looked at the 2002 or whereabouts GVMA Awards night when partnering with Daddy Lumba he looked like a malnourished worm. Worms by nature are succulent but he looked like malnourished in that video. Good Luck Ofori. Let’s look ahead to more lovely songs by you. Good luck but make amends very fast with Daddy Lumba.
