706's are good heads. The Castech cast heads are the ones prone to crack. Just stay away from the ones with the battery looking symbol beneath the rocker stand. The ones Billy gave you are also Castech.

Typically it's best to use new lifter trays bud....hopefully the ones you have aren't sloppy which allows the lifters to walk on the lobes....don't ask me how I know this...fukn hell. lol

Yeah those are the beehive springs. You can always measure the spring pressure or find someone who can. Find the pressure needed per inch and compare it to your cam card. Shim them to the right height also. Funny I was thinking it’s looking pretty clean and you say it’s so dirty. Something about crap coming through the radiator at 80 mph makes dailies dirty. Weird.
