One essential mod on this guitar (for me) would be to add a String Butler V4 Oversized. It would really improve the tuning stability of this instrument. I've put one on my Les Paul and it really helps

I love the tone Rob Barrett gets from Cannibal Corpse with this guitar on the song Evisceration Plague. Mixed with a Mesa Boogie Rectifier, it dominates.

You should put a plastic plug on the former switch hole, I always do that it looks much cleaner especially on black guitar and it's so inexpensive, and very easy to find

Glassy is the word i would use to describe the neck pickup. Also a passive pickup at the neck and an active pickup at the bridge is like the ideal setup

damn I wish u would of done the 24V MOD like Dluff did with his 81 on his channel. He said it opened the 81 up like it never has been before. he basically said it takes away that natural compression line and just says it’s magical!!!

I think it is a very interesting Design. It hurts what happens to dean know. They should have continued to design New stuff. Designer are the best choice for almost every company.

Fretboard looks great. You can always tell a USA guitar by the jet black ebony. Imports never seem to replicate it IMO.

One thing I noticed right at the end of the video, it looks like the bridge is starting to patina, that means you can raise the value as it has become relic like.

I've hated the EMG selector switches. 4 failed switches in 6 months in two guitars. Now I buy quality switches for my EMG guitars and just use the screw in posts on the junction board. But sounds killer. Maybe I'm too heavy handed but plan to replace the 3 way

Don’t quote me on any of this. I may be slightly wrong in some of the descriptions I used.but most of it is spot on to what he said it did. I think he did a graph read out of a regular 81 9V to an 81 24V

Try a 11-52 set for drop C#, perfect for 24.75 scale, if you’ve never tried Curt Mangan strings, they are amazing!

Love it. I run two volumes only on my Jackson 7 string Rhoads v. Dig the Cadillac too. I wasn’t really aware of them until I saw Tom Maxwell of hell yeah and nothing face with one. Love the pickup combo too. I’ve been an emg since like 04-05” when I was 14-15 yrs old. Love the content keep it coming
