Props to the amazing Jennica mccleary playing Winifred! She's a pro Bette midler impersonator and it's amazing to see her show her talent to the world!
Yes, a villains land would be enormously popular. I think it'd be fine as an expansion in MK. However, the attractions would likely be so popular they'd break attendance records, so they'd need quite a few rides and substance to the additions. Walt Disney never wanted villains heroized; he never said they couldn't be a part of the MK. I think it's a no brainer. Of the expansions Disney could do, I think this would get record attendance, especially considering many villains have very huge popularity.
They would of course need to put disclaimers before the attractions that they could be perceived as scary. That's the only downside here, but I doubt most would care. Most would probably like that.
Aww, there was a bit more to the performance when they do leave off the stage though! Winifred: SISTERS! We shall fly! Mary: We didn't bring our brooms! Sarah: Oh. Winifred: Well, then we shall walk. "Bye byyyyyyye~ Bye bye~"
THIS IS SOOOOOOO COOOOOOOL I cannot get over how well they did this show...and cannot stop watching it online!!! SO amazing, this is going to be a SMASH hit!
This was truly an excellent production - the casting of the sisters was fantastic, and seeing all the villains together was a real treat! But I'll echo what others have said about not saying the word 'hell' - it doesn't really make sense when the word is used in the movie. Hell is also said by Maleficent in 1959 (a character that was also on stage here) in Sleeping Beauty. I know parents probably don't want their children saying "hell, hell, hell" all over DisneyWorld, but it's only a big deal if you make it one. I'm sure kids have heard it before - probably from their own parents or at church!
I was lucky enough to go to Disney World last October when they were showing this. I used to watch Hocus Pocus probably a lot more than a child should and still do to this day. When I heard they were doing a show I knew I had to watch the whole thing. Let me tell you it is an experience. Never had I had so much fun just listening to these songs and singing along. When the finale started I immediately was ready for the sing-a-long I had unknowingly prepared for my whole life. Luckily my best friend and I were off to the side out of peoples’ way so it didn’t matter that two 20 year olds were dancing and sing “I Put A Spell On You” along with them. If you ever have a chance to go to Disney World in October, I highly suggest going to see this production. It was the highlight of my Orlando Trip that’s for sure.
2:48 to give credit where credit is due- my stomach *dropped* here when she changed the timing on that belt; I thought for sure she (actress playing Winnie) was gonna lose her place permanently, but then she went an jumped directly back on track without breaking a sweat! That is *so much more difficult than anyone could ever give credit for* (especially in front of an audience) and my hats off to her! A professional!
Wouldn’t it be awesome if Bette, Sarah, and Mary got together again to perform “I Put A Spell On You” live for the 30th anniversary celebration of “Hocus Pocus”? That’s just three years from now, you know!
i will never get over how awesome this show is! whoever had the idea to bring the Sanderson Sisters to the parks better have gotten a pay raise bc omg !!! I wish they were available to meet and greet
@@serenitysfirefly Generally good way to see is by checking the cheography, if its uncomplicated they aren't lip-syncing. And they certainly arent dancing too much here!.
It's absolutely awesome.. one thing.. Why change "there's hell to pay" to "heck"? Hardly like it's a strong word when the line "the witch is back" is meant to be a rhyme for bitch...
It's about keeping Disney free from any controversial language. Little kids are intensely literal, so the pun of "witch" goes completely over their heads. Disney does that often; They have jokes that are risqué for adults, but go completely over kids' heads.
Welcome to the world of PC culture and babying children. Hell is hardly a bad word. Even so, parents should just be parents and teach them it's an adult word. That's what my parents did
Jack Twiss me to my daughter when she acts up or breaks something: "What the hell Lilly?!" Her: Eeeeeee! You said a swear. Me: Hell isn't a swear, darling, it's a place supposedly. Other parents: *WTF did she say? looks* I love Hocus Pocus but I'm waiting til she's a little older because I don't know how to explain what a virgin is yet. XD
For the record, I love the actresses who play in the original rolls of hocus-pocus. Iconic and spectacular. But, if they ever decide to go another direction and choose three different people I think they should look at this and choose These fantastic three women.
+joshua ray Lancaster You won't believe what's worse than this. They making Watership Down again and turning down the most brutal parts. You don't ruin the classics. I watched Watership Down when I was five and the deaths in it didn't traumatised me. And yes Disney Villians Rock.
It's nothing to do with PC, it's to do with a rule Walt Disney himself made when the Disney parks were first invented. Which movie are you talking about? And was it G or PG?
If Me and 2 of my friends were Wizard Super Heroes, We would sing this song to Humiliate the Bad Guys Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Ms. Tarantula, Mr. Shark and Mr. Piranha.
idraote aside from Disneys no cursing on stage policy that would have probably pissed off a lot of prudes and Disney doesn't want that. 1993 vs now was a lot more laid back wasn't it? (I wasn't born until '97 so I wouldn't know.)
