I still think Platinum has more Ws than Ls and those Ls I can attribute to crunch under publisher contracts (see TMNT: MiM and Babylon's Fall). Transformers Devastation might be my favorite Platinum game. Best boss fights, memorable characters and fights and a "all killer no filler" campaign.
Would be awesome and similar to what Archie did with giving Megaman a Super Form. Heck, the Chaos Emeralds could combine with the Matrix of Leadership.
I have just been thinking about this too for an idea of a TF and Sonic crossover series. Like in the events of the TF Movie when Megatron dies and is reborn as Galvatron, Optimus dies but Sonic and Knuckles brought up the idea of using the Master Emerald to rejuvenate the power of the Matrix and his spark, making him a reborn Powerlinx Prime. COME ON IDW, WE GOT IDEAS!!
Imagine if PlatinumGames made a Sonic spin-off. Heck, the vehicle modes already work like a spin dash-like attack, so why not implement that into the gameplay?

I mean as slim as it is the possiblity is there as Sega have a working relationship with them thanks to Bayonetta and Sonic Team likely took inspiration from them for Sonic's moveset in Frontiers only thing hamstringing it is ST's inexperience with that kind of combat. Honestly I would prefer ST to learn to handle it themselves than rely on Platnium for it so in case the latter is busy with their own or other projects it doesn't hold up the former is working on. THAT BEING SAID HOLY SHIT I WOULD KILL FOR A SONIC HEROES 2 WITH PLATNIUM LEVEL COMBAT.
Devastation is such a good game. It's no longer purchasable due to licenses expiring but i highly recommend seeking it out even if you decide to pirate/emulate it.

@@papermacheman2210 yeah, I had no idea there were 2 other difficulties AFTER Commander. After I beat it on all three and discovered Magnus, I shit myself. Beat it within a week while at college, then discovered Prime. Shat myself even more. Never finished prime difficulty.
THIS is the best TF game imo. Nonstop action and carnage. Especially in the extra missions. You can literally fight in battles like the forest battle in TF2

I hope so, since SEGA also did the TF arcade twice (even it has a bad voice acting due to not being voiced by the original VAs), And IDW also releasing some comics from both IPs, too.
Another reason I wanna see a Transformers X Sonic crossover from Hasbro and SEGA. This is just SO GOOD. When the Matrix and the Chaos Emeralds work in tandem with each other
It's good to see you play this awesome game again, Marius Urucu. Especially, with more epic music. And I swear, this game is so anime at most times. They have the characters being at One Piece and My Hero Academia level, but in some of the most awesome and epic ways possible. This game still holds dear to me on this very day. Hope that my copy will continue to work and that the game gets the sequel it really deserves. Truly, one of the most underrated games and masterpieces of all time. Thank you Platinum Games for making this game. And thank you, Marius Urucu for coming back to play this game. You're as great and awesome as ever playing this masterpiece of a game. Thank you!
This game still haunts me to this day. From doing challenge mission 22 where you have to go through different floors and the final floor is you fighting Starscream, Motormaster, and Megatron all at once in the space bridge! Doing it on Prime difficulty with no reboot drones broke me..
Got an ad for Sonic Frontiers just before this started playing, then again I've been seeing ads for the game for a while now and loving it. Nice gameplay as always Marius and most definitely a great choice of song. It's nice to see the hack and slash and fighting game community adopt a Sonic OST into their videos.
This is one cool fucking game for Transformers! It just took a Sonic Frontiers song becoming meme status to find a now unpurchasable Transformers game. Welp guess I'll go get the rum then.
I'm amazed how getting an S rank on this battle actually doesn't make the boss look like a chump. You know he's a legitimate threat through the entire fight when even a single hit can almost manage to take Optimus out cold. Makes the victory taste so much sweeter.
Devastation really has solid enemy design and a clear artstyle that actually helps when dodging enemies. You feel like you have Ultra Instinct in real life, it's so satisfying.
Love that with Sonic Frontiers out, this is the second video I've seen someone do Devastation with FYF, love that people immediately thought "Whats another big badass robot fight, oh yeah Devastation"
The music really goes HARD... But I still prefer the original one maybe because I already used to it maybe. Because I fucking keep losing at the Devastator & Menasor part in the prime fucking difficulty maybe idk
The original soundtrack focused more on intimidating the player which is why I liked it more. But I think this still fits the scene well and is pretty bad ass
the only memory i have of playing this game is at one of my friends house, his birthday was that day and he got this game as a gift and tried playing a level and couldn't get past one point of it so i had to and he just let me play, i kept trying to give him the controller back and he just wouldn't accept it. so i fought and beat devastator and then i gave the controller to another friend of his [that man couldn't even fight the most basic enemy in the game so i had to take over again] so i practically spent the whole night speed running the game. i forgot what point i got up to but i think it was around here.
If there was a DLC to feature more of the Autobots & Decepticons (for example Ironhide, Ratchet, Prowl, Astrotrain, the Aerialbots, Protectobots, Combaticons, the rest of the Stunticons, or maybe even Barricade & Blackout), then that would be amazing.
Let's be honest, Transformers was the original hype franchise with the visuals/story/music. Main theme, Dare, The Touch, and the Linkin Park tracks for each movie, as well as general score for both the OG '86 film and Bay movies.
