Since returning to central Florida I have been trying to get a chance to go to the gulf for some fishing. Finally. Next week for 10 days in Ft Myers and a chance to actually target specific species of fish which I have never done before. I know at 58 I'm getting a late start. But for months now after finding you guys I have been in class with what I feel are some pretty good instructors. So off to take finals and put what I've learned to practice. I'll let you know how it goes. Another cool video by the way.

I'm getting 4-5 days down in Sanibel starting next week, myself! Think I found some of the spots Brant used in his much earlier vids, obviously not Blind Pass because everyone knows about that spot haha, but I'd love to pull just a lil red or tarpon out of the Ding Darling. Good luck to ya man!

Thanks for doing a midday trip. I’m down from Atlanta about once a month to Pensacola area for work. I’m only able to fish in the evenings and sometimes on Friday around noon. I’ve had some pretty good luck. Caught some big reds in December right there on the beach at noon.

SGI is a great vacation/fishing destination. We have been there many times and always fish. Perfect time of the year to go. Quiet, gorgeous weather and most likely not many people on the beaches. Surf, bridge, and inshore fishing should be on fire. Good luck

Whole blue crab 5” plus is a great ticket year around on big reds and big black drum here in Texas. It keeps most crabs off and baitfish can’t destroy the bait usually. Those big reds are eating anything and everything down in Texas this time of year doesn’t matter if it’s live or dead baits.

Yes! You quarter them on a Carolina or knocker rig (go with the Carolina from shore and knocker if fishing Directly below you from a boat) than hold T/F ON! I should specify, small crabs use whole, large blue crabs, quarter them. Fresh Only! Frozen blue crabs turn to mush once thawed.

Man I love me some Redfish. So fun to catch especially on some fresh cut mullet head. I caught my biggest in June in the OBX. September October November is the best time to catch big reds in the outer Banks can't wait to get back down there soon you've got me so addicted to catching me some big saltwater fish I can't stand it LOL
