Thanks, now I have a mental image of a Skaven crushing the green Chaos emerald into dust and snorting it while Knuckles and Sonic look on with "WTF" expressions on their faces.
My rat sniffed the air when he heard this, I think he subconsciously is plotting to find the chaos emeralds. (Edit: unfortunately my Remy passed away on August, he's currently plotting world domination from the sky ❤)
It's also a modification of a classical song, something like "March of the Goblin king" or march of the goblins. One of those songs. 90s cartoons had a way of popularizing classical (aka free music)
"Sonic you have to help me, I turned into a fat rat an- what do you mean did I eat cheese at night? Of course I didn't! I'm a scientist, not a monster!" -Robotnik
POV: your cat went missing weeks ago and you’re doing yard work when suddenly you spot this rat and are enlightened as to the cat’s whereabouts (spoiler alert: it’s inside the rat)
Somehow, we all knew it was going to be THAT version of his theme. Maybe because this is one of the only versions that actually calls him Robotnik instead of Eggman.
That and it’s the only one that fits the rat..the SatAM one would be too dark sounding for the fat rat and the Underground version also doesn’t fit it..then there’s Sonic 1-3 and those don’t fit..Thus the only option remaining is indeed the AoSTH theme..and it’s glorious.
I could see his Sonic Adventure 1 theme fitting. It's juuuuust goofy enough for the chonky boi. You're not wrong about him mostly being called Robotnik in certain media (even though it is interchangable with Eggman)
@@princeapoopoo5787 Apparently he was originally Doctor Eggman in Japan, but when Sonic came to the US SEGA decided, without consulting the Sonic devs, that they were going to change his name to Doctor Ivo Robotnik, and it _really_ stuck. Rather than maintaining two separate names, and rather than telling one audience that they were wrong and it had always been the other name, they decided both names were correct. Doctor Ivo Robotnik is his legal name, Doctor Eggman is his nickname.
@@Greywander87 and in Sonic Frontiers they made it canon in a really cute way, by making it that Eggman is a nickname that Sonic gave him that Eggman then reclaimed and made it his own. I love that so much
This clearly deserves a *PRRRROMOTION* for various reasons. 1- Catchy Theme 2- Underrated Characters (specially the women showcased in it... what?! As an artist I have priorities :3) except Queen of the Merhogs, we don't talk about her design, unless it is the one I redesigned which is waaay better than "that". 3- Incredible Comedy 4- Iconic Cartoony Animation Style Truly a nostalgic show.
