I decided to quit my job after I realized these 3 lessons. Although I "heard" of these 3 things before, they never clicked inside my head until these events happened in my life. My goal is to share my experiences with you in hopes that this video will be more than just "sounds" coming from your speakers or "words" on a screen. I hope these lessons can inspire you to do what you truly want to do.

Hey friends, one of the reasons I was able to quit my job is because I've been building my side hustles while working full time. If you're thinking of quitting, you NEED to have some financial security and a backup plan - and a great side hustle can provide both. I know you think you can't build a side hustle while working a job but let me be the first to tell you, YOU CAN. Here are my secret strategies that allowed me to grow my side hustle while working full time. These are the exact things I did that allowed me to utlimately quit and pursue my dreams: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BwDBeNhG9ls.html

Summary of video- 1. Your job is making someone else money. 2. You are always replaceable and you will be forgotten in a job. 3. Have your own purpose in life. Don't get controlled by money.

1. You job also pays YOU, gives you medical/dental, 2+ weeks vacation, retirement (possible employer match) 2. You employer is replaceable, there is NO employee loyalty, climb the ladder to similar companies, If you make 100k a year at Apple? Reach out to MSFT for a similar position. Get a job at MSFT there for 120k.. 3. DUH Choose a job where you like the environment, happy with the pay, and are internally driven/stimulated, not drained.

1. Jobs are a two way street. It benefits your employer but it also benefits you. Vincent was making $120K a year. If he saved 1/3rd of that for just ten years, he could retire. 2. Of course you're replaceable. All the more reason you need to be smart and save, save and save some more. You want to get to the point where you can live off the interest your money generates 3. I'd say it's more like, don't get controlled by things. Don't by a brand new Tesla. Don't get the giant $1 million McMansion. Because then you'll be working your whole life to pay those things off.

I studied hard to grab a position in one of the Big4 companies. I was excited to work but I was working 18 hours a day to finish jobs that were meant for an experienced person. I started ignoring my family just like you and months later when I reached home - I saw my dad skinny and diagnosed with cancer. He is illiterate and he didn't even know what cancer patients look like. Believe me, I regret taking this job. If I was home I'd be early to recognise it and he could be saved but now he is taking his last breaths. Family comes first! No job will ever replace your family.

My dude....this is exactly my life right now. Working my ass off doing tax at a Big 4 accounting firm. Worked so hard in college to get here only to come to the same realization as you did. I served 8 years in the army and I thought working for corporate America was the dream. I wanted to wear the suits, I wanted to have to the corporate dinners, I wanted to work in the tallest building...and now 3 years in I almost completely lost who I was before this job. I get anywhere from a 15-25% salary increase every year but I no longer care about that. i want a career with purpose to it. I want a career where I can see the outcome of what I put in. As much as it scares me to admit this to my wife and family I really want to pursue a career in firefighting to bring back that sense of purpose and selfless service that I miss so much. Corporate America does not give a single fuck about me

Some people really take their jobs too seriously, and when asked why I'm so relaxed in situations that otherwise would cause great tension, my answer is ALWAYS this: "What if I died today or tomorrow? Y’all just need to learn how to save $ and not spend ur money on stuff you don’t need ! I’m at the stage of my life ( age 24) making 495k a year after taxes , living in Seattle, WA. And that’s decent money I make for a normal life . Sure 485k is not A LOT OF MONEY , however it’s more than enough for a normal life . I been making over 300k since I was 20 years old so about 4 years now and I don’t go around spending my money buying em anything and everything that I don’t really need . I spent my money on the house that I bout and it’s nothing special medium size 4 bedroom house that I paid cash for and it cost me 750k cuz houses are too damn expensive in Seattle and I bought my self Nissan 350Z and Toyota 4Runner ! Now I could have went and bought me an Audi R8 , Ferrari , Lamborghini or what ever other car and I could cash it out , or instead of paying the full price on the house I got and bought my self huge house and use the 700k ( cash) as a down payment and than pay mortgage every month and still owe millions on it but why would I do that ??? That’s just throwing ur money away trying to live large , or impress ppl or what ever . No need for that at all ! So guys KNOW UR WORTH DONT EVER SETTLE FOR LESS ! This is my standard and if the company can’t comply with my job requests I’m not taking that job . I like to work early 6,7 AM I want my lunch to be paid for and I only work 32 hrs a week . On top of that I also have to make 100k + in 3 months or I’m not taking that job . I guess I like to work like I’m in Germany and not USA , cuz over there your full work week is 32hrs however if u compare salary , in Germany you get paid more working a day less than we get paid here in USA doing the same job and working 40 hrs a week . So guys know ur worth and don’t settle for less you guys .

I can really relate to this. I was an econ major in college (first-gen student) and was planning to go into finance, but early on I knew that my own mental health would make the punishing work culture unbearable, and I knew I needed a strong purpose in my work to feel motivated. I've always tried to be of service to others, and my jobs so far have been at advocacy and social service organizations that do really meaningful work in the community. I use the free time I have to take care of myself and pursue my creative interests, and I feel like I'm mapping out the darkened path one step at a time at my own pace, which has allowed me to grow in unexpected ways. Thanks for sharing your story.

Also, your observation about the person in the building who suddenly disappeared and made you realize that we are all replaceable is true. I had a close colleague recently die in a tragic car accident and life went on. His position was replaced 3 weeks later. It kind of sickened me and made me realize i was just as replaceable despite working so hard and being a top producer. I took a big leap in a business i love doing everyday, one man show. From purchasing , promotion , sales , operations , finance . And in 6 years i gain financial freedom , i never had to worry about money anymore because my business is making money and i love waking up every morning doing something i love. Wow this story really resonated with me. I feel like the Asian family “guilt” isn’t talked about a lot and can be really heavy on those first/ second generation Asian Americans. My story is the same as yours. Parents moved from Hong Kong for a better life. I graduated a rocket scientist and got a job as an aerospace engineer. My parents were so proud, and because they felt proud, I felt like I was finally “worthy”. Ended up depressed and suicidal and went to therapy. the best piece of advice I got from my therapist was “ask yourself who’s life are you living?” This made me realize that I was loving my parents dream life, not mine. It was a hard realization to make, but a very important one. I’m quitting my terrible cog wheel job this month. I feel lost, I feel scared, but I also feel free. I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time.

I've been walking in this narrow road since I was 18 (now Im 30) and I couldn't be happier. The joy I have living the life as an Artist is indescribable. I made the right choice not because it was just my choice but because my Foundation was God. I took Spiritual Discernment before choosing this path with the help of Spiritual Directors. I have many rough paths plus I experienced too many dark nights. Bro, the narrow dark road is EXTREMELY HARD that's why very few walk it. If your foundation was just that YT video. You will not survive. If you do, you will not surely be truly happy. The real joy in this path is not the destination. It's the Journey: Journeying with the Lord.
