I had a chemistry teacher tell me the same thing and I’m now in medical school becoming a doctor. When I was accepted I went back to the school I went to the school I went to in Michigan and showed her my acceptance letter and then made a speech in front of her class she was teaching. I told them to never let someone tell you who you are or what you are going to do in life even if they think you aren’t worth it or going to make it. She was a sweet woman and she was very proud but I took that with me through my academic career. Plus I’m blessed to be able to do this.

The reason his builds aren't clickbait is because he actually drives them hard afterward. No glass-builds here. If LSC bought, say, a burned down twin-turbo Lambo, you could be confident that the payoff at the end is him ripping it down the 1320 or something comparable, and not just throwing it on the dyno and/or doing a few half-a**ed pulls on the street because he knows the engine or trans would probably pop if it was driven any harder. A lot of folks don't seem to need that payoff at the end though, evidenced by channels that do this having 2-4x as many subs and views as LSC does, but I really love that aspect of this channel and other channels like it (Cleetus McFarland, Fasterproms, Speed Academy, and tiny ones like Jake Spence and XF Motorsports).

Such an amazing story. I went from The Chrysler apprenticeship program, flat rating at dodge for 5 years, jumping to Toyota for 3 years then got tired of the grind and jumped to heavy duty - Transit. Became a Lead Mech, then now I went from entering info into a database and finally leveraged a stretch assignment with Vehicle Maintenance Analysts into a full time job analyzing VM data. Been there being on grave, swing, and days midweek off. Good pension, union job etc. Your channel is popular with mechanics at King County Metro. It scratches my itch as my box sits in my home garage. During the pandemic your videos made me buy a POS Dodge Ram and I spend too much money on it out of nostalgia and getting dirt on my old tools. Agreed! It's much more fulfilling to grow it for yourself, rather than working for the boss. In his case, he was keeping costs low and productivity high. When I went full-time into my hobby I learned I worked just as many hours to produce and deliver. The hours don't matter when you're doing WITH your family and friends, and allow yourself more flexibility to create and grow. My average week is 60 hours and they do not bother me because I'm doing what I absolutely love to do.
